If you're looking to relocate to a lovely Southern area then a Fayetteville home is probably just right for you. It was just a short time ago, in 2001, that Fayetteville was the "All-America City" award winner. Fayetteville has a strong military heritage, boasting many war monuments and battle sites dating back to the founding of our country. Add to that the fact that Fayetteville is also the home to Fort Bragg Army and Pope Air Force bases and it becomes very easy to see this charming Southern town as a wonderful memorial to the US military past and present.

Here are some interesting Fayetteville statistics to help you become acquainted with the city:

The average commute time for Fayetteville residents is just 21 minutes.

Fayetteville has its own very active mass-transit system which helps reduce commuter traffic.

Air travel is accessible via the Fayetteville Regional/Grannis Field which serves a 12 county area.

Major employers in the Fayetteville area include The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Wal-Mart, Purolator, M.J. Soffe, Cingular Wireless, Eaton Corporation, State of North Carolina, Cumberland County Schools, Cape Fear Valley Health System, US Department of Defense, Cumberland County, City of Fayetteville, US Postal Service and Veterans Administration Hospital.

Fayetteville is set up to educate its resident's children with 70 public schools and 25 private schools. There are also 13 colleges and universities located in or within a few hours of Fayetteville. The education of our youth is important and Fayetteville makes it a priority. Our children truly are the leaders of tomorrow and as such we have to make sure we support them and provide them the tools they need to succeed.

Here are just a few of the many highlights not to be missed when visiting Fayetteville.

* Fort Bragg
* Pope Air Force Base
* Fayetteville Market House
* Crown Coattractionseum
* Fayetteville State University
* Fascinate-U Children’s Museum
* Cape Fear Botanical Garden
* Airborne and Special Operations Museum
* Museum of the Cape Fear
* Fayetteville Arts Center
* Historic Poe House
* Historic Train Station

This is a wonderful Southern city full of charm, history and a great air of excitement. Fayetteville North Carolina makes for a great place to visit as well as live.

The bottom line is Fayetteville, NC is a wonderful town and frankly it would be difficult to list all of the great all of the things that make it so great and that lead people to choose to live there. What I've given you above is a brief listing of just a handful of those many facts.

When I ponder and travel around Fayetteville, NC I often jot down little aspects of the town that grab me. What is amazing is that once I return to my home office (where I do most of my actual writing) I often find I have a list unlike any of the others I've written up before. This list is just one of those great little lists and just happens to be the one I chose to share with you here today.
