In addition to essential oils, fish oil and wrinkles has been found to have a connection as well. Particularly the omega 3 fatty acids that are in fish oil have been found to help the skin be protected against aging and wrinkles. This is good news for those who are looking for a natural approach to stave off the signs of aging on their skin. There are many health reasons to take omega-3 fatty acid supplements, and now we can add healthier younger looking skin to the list.

The first thing that you should do is some investigation on essential oils and wrinkles. You will find that there are a number of essential oils that can be used to treat wrinkles on the skin. The oils that you should look for to work on your wrinkles are ylang-ylang, rosewood, myrrh, palmarosa, mandarin, frankincense, lavender, clary sage, fennel, and carrot seed. These are the oils that have been shown to have a positive effect on wrinkles on the skin. You should remember that essential oils should never be applied directly to the skin. They are most often mixed with carrier oils to cut down on the potency of the oil. It is also possible to use them in an aromatherapy fashion such as a few drops in a steaming bowl of water that is breathed in can be an effective way to bring the oil to your skin.

You should consult with someone who is experienced at using these oils before you begin to try them on your own. There are many books on the subject of aromatherapy that can assist you with your treatment. Essential oils and wrinkles have been known for many years by people who have studied the effects of these potent oils. Some of these oils have multiple effects and you can find that you are treating a number of things when you use aromatherapy in your skin care routine.

You should also include omega 3 fatty acids in your diet for a stronger resistance to wrinkles. There has been a great deal of study on the effect of fish oil and wrinkles. The skin cells that were treated with fish oil in a research experiment showed a greater resistance to the effects of UV light than those cells that were not treated. As the body ages, it loses the ability produce many of the natural oils that keep the skin supple. To assist the body, it is important to include omega-3 fatty acids in our diet. This can be accomplished by adding fish to your diet on a weekly basis, or by taking supplements. If you are pregnant, then your doctor will advise you to avoid fish because of mercury toxicity. This makes omega-3 fatty acid supplements the perfect solution.
