IT’S JUST HUMAN NATURE TO BE SCARED WHEN THE THOUGHT OF LOSING YOUR HOME IS LOOMING OVER YOUR HEAD, but I’m seeing an injustice going on that I want to shed some light on for you.

You see, there’s a major myth that’s making the rounds lately, here it is; as soon as a homeowner is in default on the mortgage, he must rely on a third party (foreclosure rescue or loss mitigation service) AND PAY AT LEAST $1,500 to avoid or stop the foreclosure.

I DON’T BELIEVE THIS MYTH AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU, HERE’S WHY: Everyone has the right to make a living - even people in the foreclosure rescue business. But what I’m seeing is a vulture like mentality coming from the Loss Mitigation / Foreclosure Rescue companies out there. Most of these companies are staffed by 100% commissioned salespeople and they’re smelling blood in the water, and you’re the perfect prey.

MOST LIKELY YOU'RE SACRED and confused about the legal proceedings, you’re worrying about where your family is going to live after the eviction, you’re a mess and you’re not thinking rationally. Imagine that you’re in this state of mind and someone came along and said, “I can take care of this problem for you, but I need $2,000 in upfront fees because this is very complicated situation. Also, there are NO guarantees. AND if I can’t help you - I keep that money.” Believe it or not, thousands of homeowners accept this deal every month – from companies they have never heard of. They cough up between $1,500 and $3,500 to have a third party stop or stall their foreclosure.

WHY? BECAUSE THEY’RE SCARED TO DEATH AND THEY’VE BEEN CONVINCED that it’s the only logical choice they have. They’re being told that a foreclosure is way too complicated to be handled by the average homeowner and that dealing with a big corporation that has hundreds of attorneys on staff is too dabgerouse. After all, they could squash you like a fly… right? WRONG! NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

I WOULD ESTIMATE THAT 90% OF HOMEOWNERS IN FORECLOSURE can handle this task without any outside help. It’s not as complicated as you may think it is. PLEASE REALIZE that NO ONE will go to bat for you and solve this issue for you- for free. If it’s your home in foreclosure, it’s your responsibility to get out of foreclosure, plain and simple.

Yes, I know that in SOME cases the government will assist you and speak to your lender on your behalf. But from what I’ve seen, it’s not as helpful (or as speedy) as people hoped the free service would be. They're swamped with people just like you who need help and they can't keep up with the demand. By the time you get an appointment, meet with the councilor, and get any help- you may get evicted. So the best bet is to take action yourself and start making things happen.

IF YOU DIG DEEP ENOUGH it won’t take you long to realize that you can probably KILL OR STALL your foreclosure by yourself without spending thousands of dollars and trusting in a total stranger to help you. Believe it or not, there are genuine people out there actually want to help you - and NOT make a killing off of you at the same time
GO ONLINE AND TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE E-BOOKS AVAILABLE ABOUT stopping your foreclosure, you may be surprised at the useful information they supply. Go to Google and search for "DIY foreclosure" – or "DIY Loss Mitigation" and you will probably find some very useful information. Chances are, you will come up with several methods and tips that you could implement immediately – for free.
