There are literally hundreds of cycling apparels available in Singapore if you are a serious cycler who is looking to beef up your gear and give you an edge in your sport. While there are many choices to choose from, a quick read of this article will give you a better idea on the apparels that you may or may not need. They range from fashion apparels, safety, improvement and performance. They are also dependent on what you do your cycling for. For example, if you like to do a lot of dirt biking and go off road or down mountains, then there are mountain apparel that you need to think about, from pants, jackets to the shoes you need to wear.

These are more for you protection than anything else. Jacket and vests are really important if you do serious cycling because they give you an advantage of visibility, extra protection against the elements as well added protection against scraping or other injuries associated with cycling on the roads, or even competitive cycling. When looking for the right cycling apparels and jackets, you will need to decide on the base layers or internal vests you need to wear. These, together with warmers, help you to deal with weather and the cold, but in Singapore, they are only used when cycling in heavy rain, because cold and moisture can affect performance and even lead to debilitating cramps which could mean the difference between a win and a loss.

You also need to think about gloves. It is very important when it comes to gripping your handle bard, because your hands are essentially your steering and in cycling, steering is everything. A good pair of gloves can protect you from injury, weather and of course it gives you better grip and eventually better performance. Also, you need to think about eyewear. Not only does it make you look cool as you stomp down your ironman course or the streets of Singapore, but a good pair of cycling shades can give you protection from many things. Riding around town and behind vehicles, you need to have protection against the polluting and sediments that could be blown towards your face, and eventually into your eye. They also will shade your eyes from the glaring sun and help you with visibility. Last but not least in the issue of cycling apparel, you need to think about a good pair of shoes because you need grip on your cycling bars.

They also are good protection, combines with durable shoe covers, as protection against the usual injuries, which include a sprained ankle and cuts and bruises. In the end of the day, how serious you take your cycling will determine what kind of apparels you will need. Don’t purchase things unnecessary and when you do visit an apparel store in Singapore, keep things like price versus performance in mind before you make a purchase. Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.
