In college, you're going to find that eating out whether it's in the cafeteria or at a restaurant is going to get old quick. It's not going to only cost you money; it's also going to get really repetitive. This is why you should consider getting a dorm microwave in your college dorm room if your college accepts them. A microwave not only can save you money; it's also going to get you away from that nasty college cafeteria food.

I'm going show you some tips that you can use when it comes to cooking with your microwave. If you're in college, you're going to find that cooking with a microwave is actually fairly simple. There many things out there that you can use that only take a couple minutes to heat up.

Hot drinks -- many students forget that a microwave is not only for food, it can also be used for hot drinks. Drinks like tea, coffee, and other hot beverages are great on those cold mornings or nights. Make sure you get tea packets or even instant coffee. Coffee is great for those nights where you need to study until three in the morning.

Instant soups -- when it comes to food, there many items that can be found in the grocery store. One of the most popular microwavable items is soup. From Ramen noodles to instant soup and a cup, these are among the college student’s favorites. They are easy to make and they actually taste pretty good from coming out of a microwave. The nice thing about instant soups is that you're only in the pay about a dollar or so for a cup. When it comes to Ramen noodles, you can usually buy 10 packets for about one dollar.

Frozen goods -- another popular item that are cooked in microwaves among college students or even household are frozen foods that come in packages. From frozen pizzas to hot pockets, a simple look in the freezer section of any grocery store will show you how many frozen goods there actually are to cook. Most of these frozen goods only take you about 3 to 10 minutes to cut. While they aren't the best quality, it's a lot better than eating out and spending $5-$10 a meal. Sometimes, you just have to sacrifice the quality of food over the price. Remember, this is college and you're not going to live like a king.

When it comes to cooking a microwave, you just have to be creative. There are many creative ideas online and even recipes that you can use it come to cooking. From homemade nachos to popcorn, a microwave and cook a lot more than you think. When it comes to finding a microwave that suitable for your dorm, make sure that you find one that's not too big or too small. You want to find one that gets the job done. These appliances will generally only cost you about $100. I know it sound like a lot now but think of all the money you can save over your four-year college career.
