How to Approach a Group of Women

I'm sure you've noticed that women never do anything by themselves. They even go to the restroom in pairs! That's because they know that there is safety in numbers. Going out to the club in a group protects them from any unsavory types that might be looking for an easy target. That way, the entire group can have fun instead of wasting time keeping an eye out for creeps and getting rid of losers. However, staying in a group lowers every group member's chance of meeting a really high-quality man. Therefore, it's essential that those high-quality men (and that would include you) know how to successfully approach a group of women.

The objective in approaching a group is to isolate the woman you're interested in from the rest of the group long enough to chat her up. It will be challenging because the other group members will be protective of one another and will find the presence of an interloper disruptive. Some of the women may be jealous because your attention is not directed at them. Therefore, if you're approaching the group by yourself, make certain that you pay respects to each group member, but give special attention to the lady you’re interested in. Make eye contact with her. Smile. Ask what her name is, and be sure to accentuate the personal pronoun. “What’s your name?” This is a simple, discreet way of letting her know that she is the one you're interested in.

Once your presence in the group is acknowledged, find ways to touch the woman you're interested in to see how she responds. These touches shouldn't be sexual but brief, gentle and comforting. Try putting a hand on her shoulder or on her back – below bra-level but well above the small of the back – when you talk to her or help guide her through a crowd. If she's comfortable with this, you're clear to proceed to the next step. If she's uncomfortable, you either haven't gotten her interest aroused enough or she doesn't like you, and you're better off finding another target.

The next step is to isolate your lady for a conversation, but before you can do that, you must get the approval of the group leader. She'll be the woman in the group who's the most vocal and who most of the group interact with. Use your charm and sense of humor to let this leader know that you're not a danger to her or any of the group members. (As an aside, be sure to get her name and remember it because she’s probably the best friend – or at least a good friend – of the woman you’re after.) If the leader trusts you, then the group will follow her lead and it will be easier for you to isolate the woman you’re interested in when the moment arises. All that remains is for you to choose the moment to break her away from her friends and initiate a private conversation.

A more efficient technique to use when approaching a woman in her social group is to work with a friend as part of a team. Your friend can help you distract the group while you work on the woman you've chosen. Naturally, you'd do the same for him. Your friend can also run reconnaissance for you before the two of you approach the group, and he can vouch for your quality by relating some flattering anecdotes while the two of you chat up the ladies. Then, when the group has accepted you, you can isolate the woman you're interested in, confident in your chances of success.
