Losing a quick ten pounds can come in handy in a variety of situations. Oftentimes you have something come up such as a high school reunion or a blind date for which you just want to get in a little better shape. In these situations there is no need to go crazy and lose a ton of weight. A little tweaking here and there is all that is needed. It just takes keeping a few things in mind and sticking to the program to make it happen.

One of the first things to remember is that in order to lose a quick ten pounds you are going to have to stay committed. It might not take too long but it will just never happen if you constantly focus and then quit on your efforts. A good solid commitment will help you to shed the pounds quickly. That is after all the whole goal anyway. No need to spend a ton of time getting in shape. Declaring your goal to a trusted friend will help you to solidify your commitment even further. Force your friend to hold you accountable. If your friends are like mine they will have no problems with this part. I think my friends get a kick out of holding me to the fire when I say I am going to do something.

Another tip to get in shape fast is to put full effort into each aspect of your plan. A lot of people might overlook this tip but it can make the difference between losing the full ten pounds and just getting in a little better shape. In your exercise program make sure to give it your all until the last rep is done. The little things will add up. A little extra effort on each of the last of your reps in each set will add up over the course of a full workout. And then on your nutrition make sure you do not cheat at all. This will add up as well and guarantee your success in a short amount of time. A little goes a long way with this one.

In terms of exercise then you are going to have to decide how important the speed of the fat loss is to you. If you want to truly lose fat quickly then it makes no sense to go halfway with something like walking for exercise. You have to go all out and add running or jogging into the mix. With the full calorie burning effects of running you will reach your goal that much quicker. To increase the effect you might want to try adding the running program to your routine first thing in the morning. This will allow your body to burn fat in a fasted state after waking up and your body will continue to feel the effects all day long. This will add to the effectiveness of your overall program. A day started correctly will end all that much better. Overall these tips should help you to lose the weight quickly with minimal effort in the long run. After all you might have an easier time if you slack off but the quicker you lose the weight the quicker you can just go into maintenance mode.
