You don’t have to pay for the blogging platform, it’s free to anyone and there are oodles of free themes to choose from as well. If you want your own customized or premium theme you can certainly buy one but the free themes you can choose from are definitely plentiful.

Once you’ve bought your domain and arranged for your web hosting (which can be $5 or so a month for a starter plan or $10 a month for a larger plan that will allow unlimited websites for one price) you can do what you want with your blog. You can apply for Google Adsense, add ClickBank advertisements, show your Amazon widget and write blog posts until your heart is content. You can also add any number of widgets to dress up the blog’s sidebar.

WordPress can be easily optimized for search engines so that people can find you online and can be monetized so that you can earn money with that blog. Companies add blogs to their website to talk to their customers, businesses also add it to expand their search engine results and people are blogging all over cyberspace to get out a message, to sell something or just as a hobby.

WordPress is one of the best free internet tools you’ll find and there are a lot of add ons that you can use for social media, search engine optimization, monetization and more. The minimal fee of putting your blog on your own domain and having full control is well worth it and this blog of yours could help you launch your own online moneymaker.
