By the way the water at the reef is incredibly clear, so you will see a huge number of fish moray eel, turtle, and even nurse sharks. It’s terrific to just be able to take a Kayak and paddle a short distance to see all of this, without having to take a charter boat and then be surrounded by lots of other people in the water.

Another popular favourite is the water taxi into town, not only do the children love it, but the whole family too!!

The Blue Reef Island Resort is quite remote so you will be able to walk on the beach for miles and find it quite deserted. This on the one hand is nice, but on the other means eating out is more of a challenge. Thankfully the food at the Blue Reef Island Resort is extremely good, and important detail when you are doing some family vacation planning!! In fact the combination of the restaurant, the well equipped kitchen in the condo, and the poolside gas BBQ means you can have the perfect family vacation without leaving the resort. Water taxis, free to guests allow you to go to San Pedro if you do want to eat out.
