Ah, the world wide web. It certainly has us all caught up in it. Not only does it offer us a plethora of personal abilities - we can manage our bank account or stalk old high school classmates (you know you do it) - but it also opens up a whole new world of business possibilities. That is, if your are willing to go that extra mile.

Nowadays, Web 2.0 is often considered that extra mile. With cold calling being so 1980's, emailing being so 1990's, and simply having a webpage being, like, so 2002, Web 2.0 is what it takes to make your business stand where you want it: out.

Now, before we continue, let's talk about what Web 2.0 actually is.

Web 2.0 has no set definition. Instead, it is a term used to describe the ever changing trends of the Internet. Utilizing originality, creativity, and - seemingly - more technology than NASA, Web 2.0 enhances your ability to share information, collaborate with colleagues and clients, and get yourself, and your business, seen.

The name, in itself, suggests that Web 2.0 is a newer version of the Internet. But, in actuality, it's the same old Internet, with a new way of thinking. Some of the ideas Web 2.0 concepts have led to include video sharing (such as YouTube), social networking sites (such as facebook), blogs, hosting services, and wikis.

Because Web 2.0 is, in a nutshell, the new way of using the web, Web 2.0 training is particularly important.

These days simply having a website or landing pages filled with a hundred keywords isn't enough: you need interaction, you need video, and you need to tap into social networking.

Still not convinced? Well, did you know that sixty percent of all Internet traffic is generated by video? Just as we are a society that would rather watch a movie than read a book, we are a society that would rather watch a video than read a webpage. If you are unfamiliar with rss feeds and podcast feeds, your customers will be unfamiliar with you.

Social networking is also a concept that you must utilize for success. If the recent trends have taught us anything, and left us wishing we were the ones who invented myspace, they taught us that if you have a social network, people will come. People love a chance to connect with others, particularly when they can fully use the anonymity of the Internet.

This all wraps into Web 2.0. It's a new way of communicating, a new way of designing, and a new way of getting business. Not being trained in its concepts will leave you and your company in the dark, and the dark ages.

If you are looking into joining an online income opportunity, you will want to be sure that the program you are joining offers in-depth training on how to utilize web 2.0 in your overall marketing strategy. If you are not blessed with omniscience, you will need some training in online marketing.

It's a revolution and a bandwagon you'll want your business to be on. All aboard, the future's early.
