Getting Smart: Make Weight Loss Easy!

Don't you wish weight loss was easy? We can almost understand the struggle when we're eating an unhealthy diet. But what about when we're eating a healthy, calorie restricted diet and the weight just doesn't come off?

A little known fact might be just the key that you've been missing and it has to do with how your body works. Here it is: Your liver is your body’s prime detoxification organ and its prime fat burning organ. That might be the most important thing there is to say about weight loss; let me share why.

Many people’s diets contain large amounts of chemicals - all of which require detoxification from our liver so they don't cause us immediate harm. So, on a daily basis, our livers are busy detoxifying the incoming chemicals from processed foods, non-organic foods (think pesticide residue), and other environmental toxins, and often, our livers simply don’t have any extra space or energy to burn fat.

In fact, because most people have been consuming these chemical toxins thorough foods and lifestyle habits for many years, most people’s livers have become not just overwhelmed, but also clogged with toxins. This continually adds to the liver's problem and it adds to your weight loss problem.

Of course, when your body's main fat burning organ is overworked, weight loss and weight maintenance are extremely difficult. In fact, weight gain is often just a sign of an overworked liver.

The good news is that you can do a body cleanse, with a liver cleanse, to remove those toxins from your liver and throughout your body. When you do, weight loss and weight maintenance can be very easy - because now you'll have your body's prime fat burning organ in top shape and working on your side. Why have it working against you?

A body cleanse is just a way to cleanse the inside of your body. Imagine if you didn't do more around your home than the dishes and taking out the trash - for 20 or 30 years. How would it look? Would you want to live there? Our bodies are similar in their need for more thorough cleaning, and while we do have organs designed to detoxify us, they often need a little help - especially with today’s common, yet highly chemical, diets and lifestyles.

Switching to a natural, organic diet composed largely of unprocessed foods from nature is another positive step that can greatly decrease your incoming toxic load. The more natural, organic plant-based foods we consume, the better - especially the ones from the produce aisle.

Using soaps, cleaners, and cosmetics in your home and on your body that are light on chemicals is another important step in the right direction. The fewer unnatural chemicals we use in and on our bodies, and in our environment, the better off we'll all be. You can make a lot of these changes simply just by doing your shopping at a health-oriented grocery store. Much of it has been prescreened, so it's easier to make better choices without having to learn a lot.
