The new Taser C2 from Taser International represents the latest in Taser technology from the people who invented it. With its sleek, ergonomic design and availability in a variety of colors, its really targeted directly to the ladies. It looks much less like a handgun than previous Taser models, and can easily be carried in a purse, backpack or shoulder bag. The device features most of the same features found on Taser International's police and military models.

The Taser C2 packs a powerful 50,000 volt wallop, and can be used from a distance of up to 15 feet. It features Taser International's exclusive EMD (Electro-Muscular Disruption) technology, which interferes with the body's electrical system to stop an attacker in their tracks. It also features the unique AFID (Anti-Felon Identification) system, designed to keep criminals from using the device. This system of identification, when the taser is fired, outputs hundreds of tiny dots with bar codes which can be used to trace the unit back to its owner. All Tasers are registered, since when you receive one you have to register the unit before you are given an activation code that makes the unit operational.

The unit is available with an optional laser sight, just like on the police and military rifles. And it's available in 9 different colors - black, blue, silver, pink, fashion pink, red, forest camo, desert camo, and even leopard skin! It features a convenient reloadable cartridge system that contains the projectile, the AFID dots, the wires that carry the electrical charge, and the propellant that fires the unit. The battery pack can be changed to update the firmware in the device, if this is ever necessary.

The Taser C2 relies on the fact that our body's nervous system is controlled by small electrical pulses. The EMD technique interferes with these pulses and causes the subject's muscle's to quickly go into spasms. A hit with a Taser will drop an attacker in their tracks and immobilize them. The unit will continue to discharge for 30 seconds after being fired, giving you time to drop the unit and flee your attacker. And you don't need to worry about the price of the taser if you ever need to drop it and flee - Taser International provides a free lifetime replacement if you ever have to do this. Just send them a copy of the police report and they will send you a new unit.

A Taser is the most effective, non-lethal self-defense weapon you can obtain. Their use is proven, with police and military worldwide having used them for a generation. Taser International has put most of the same features into this consumer model as they use for the police and military models, so you can be assured that when the time comes the device will do its job.
