The first ensures that you are protected from abrasions. The second makes sure that proper air circulation takes place. The third makes the jacket waterproof and does not get discolored by anything.

The jackets also hold as a strong shield in unpredictable weather. They offer sure protection against rain, snow and hailstorms and other difficult conditions.

One kind of jackets available is of course the textile motorcycle jackets. The leather jackets are too heavy and do not have proper air circulation. But these jackets are far lighter in weight and thus manageable. However they are not very safe since they are too light and thin but if you can manage a better-modified textile jacket that is very useful.

Moreover these jackets also double up very well as casual hip-hop outfits. While these jackets give you protection, they are also easier and cheaper to maintain. However the amount of wear and tear they can sustain is a question.
