If you are looking for something new in your business telephone system then you might want to think about a more integrated system and perhaps some business mobiles.

This article gives an overview of the SpliceCom range so you can decide which model best suits your business needs. SpliceCom is a company that makes innovative business telephone systems.

The SpliceCom handsets are a new type of business telephone system that uses the concept of the mobile telephone whilst bearing in mind the needs of businesses. The Splice system is called the PCS or Proactive Communications Station. SpliceCom has a range of handsets, each with different features and different levels of operation, all of which are part of the Proactive Communications Station.

PCS 60 and PCS 410

You can have the PCS in software form (PCS 60) or you can have the system running on an IP terminal. The PCS 410 is a full colour touch screen phone that is designed to be easy to use with its on screen icons all with special features. With the 410 you can access the web, the intranet with video/web cam access and the ability to receive content over the web. The phone has an integrated desktop LAN switch, which means you can use it with your desktop PC without the use of a socket.

PCS 100s, PCS 10 and PCS 5

The PCS 100s is an IP phone that looks like a traditional key business telephone and is akin to the digital system phones on PBX and Key Systems. The phone gives caller ID a station select/busy lamp field and the eight keys make the system features easy to access. The PCS 10 and the PCS 5 are traditional business phones; all of the terminals can be used on the desk or suspended from the wall. These make up the complete system, although there are other 'physical' phones. The system has many features and includes a one number facility that is meant to reach a person anywhere and in any manner, multi-site hot desking, voice mail and messaging and call recording, all of these are standard features. The maximiser works just as well for a simple 4 line dial PBX as it does with multi-site installations.

The PCS 505 and PCS 520

The 505 is a business quality phone designed to sit on your desk, it is great as a standalone, traditional telephone but can also be used with the PCS 60. Splice developed the 520 for the traditional telephone that is required by an IP PBX traditional business telephone system. The 520 has an LCD display and pre-programmed keys and is a stylish looking, full featured terminal.

The PCS 560 and PCS 570

The 560 IP phone is the world's thinnest desktop phone of this type with access to all the benefits of the Splice Unified Communications systems. With the 560 Splice have brought the easy functionality of the mobile phone to business phone users.

The 570 IP phone combines looks and usability and like the 560 is the thinnest possible IP phone with access to all the benefits that Splice's systems provides. Just like the 560 the 570 gives the easy functionality of the mobile telephone to business phone users.
