If you get water into your engine the vehicle could stall. This could also lead to further complications with your vehicle as well.

Keep your headlights on the entire time that you are driving in the rain. Others need to be able to see you clearly, especially if visibility is already difficult enough. If you find that you are having trouble seeing properly then you should try to pull over safely and wait for the rain to decrease. Safety should always be your main focus when driving in the elements.
