When starting out, anybody who wants to make money online, has to learn the basics of affiliate marketing. As a starting point learning by doing is invaluable.

It's good for the beginner as well as the intermediate, because you don't have to spend time or money creating your own product or spending lots of money on a good sales writer. Done correctly you will rather quickly earn some money which should be used to further expand you business.

As an affiliate marketer you can promote your chosen product without your own website although at some point you will want to. Setting up your own site is very easy with Squidoo, Wordpress, Blogger etc.

When you are selling someone else's product, you don't need to worry about paying anyone to write a sales letter because it's already done for you. Neither do you have to worry about testing different versions of the sales letter to see which one works better. The benefit of this is that you can use the sales letter that's already been written to identify the customers problem and then solve it.

The core problem starting out online is, in my opinion, the information overload out there. It is not easy to find out where to start. Believe me, I have been there. I have bought many ebooks and blueprints from the gurus telling me what to do, but forgetting to tell me how. Often times when I was sure that I had found the right program pliiiing a new one in my inbox I just had to read.

I do not know if this sounds familiar, but I strongly recommend that you stop jumping from on blueprint to another. Find a program you are confident with and take action. Stick with it and stay FOCUSED. If you are not focused you will get nowhere. Maybe you chose the wrong program and so what. Move on, learn and stay focused and remember for every mistake you make the closer you get to success.

Affiliate marketing can be a puzzle. No matter your IQ, you will always have to put the pieces together. So, although it is not rocket science you have to put in some efforts.

Here comes the good news. The learning period you need to become an online entrepreneur will not take you years. It only takes months, and I am not talking about 12 or even 6 months, I am talking about a period of less than 2 months before starting to earn some decent money.

Finelly I must warn you. Do not listen to “get rich overnight” programs. They do NOT exist. No matter which road you choose, you will have to put some work into it. Not surprising really as I guess you are looking for a business and not a hobby.
