The Nokia 6220 Classic is considered to be one of the most colourful mobile phones in the market today. Its shape and design lets the user handle the phone with ease, and with its 4-way keypad, you can access it faster in each direction. Each direction has its short-cut keys for easy operation, whether you are looking for 'contacts', 'messages' or something else. For speed in network connectivity, the phone offers GPRS, EDGE, an infra-red and USB port. Though night time photos are not impressive, the phone's CIF camera lets you take well balanced pictures in the daylight. For music lovers, Nokia 6220 features a FM Radio with good reception.

It is a mobile phone having a candy bar design, compatible with 3G operation. Nokia 6220 is a 3G Smartphone and is available in the choice of two colours. One comes with a black coloured casing, having turquoise blue coloured keys which make the keys stand out making it easier for the users to operate the keypad. The second choice is available in purple coloured casing, giving the phone an exquisite look as a fashion phone. The phone has got a curved candy bar appearance, and has a firmer grip with a solid feeling. The phone weighs about 90 gms, and measures 15.2 x 46.5 x 108mm, and features well spaced out keypad, with a navigation key on top. It has 2.2 inches QVGA screen, having 16 million high resolution colours.

The 6220 Classic has its own GPS receiver, and comes complete with A-GPS function, which provides the facility to direct you to any place you want to go. The messaging services offered by the phone helps you to remain in touch with your family, friends, and colleagues no matter where you are. The email feature in the phone allows you to attach and send pictures, video, and document files, and also receive such files. The phone also provides you with the facility of MMS messaging.

Nokia 6220 uses a 740 mAh lithium ion battery, which provides you with 240 minutes of talk time, and up to 192 hours of stand-by time. The phone features an alarm clock, a calendar, reminder alerts, and has pre-installed games.

With all said and done, the Nokia 6220 has certain drawbacks. There is a prominent shutter noise and this cannot be disabled. It would have been comfortable if the "red" light search during focus phase could be disabled. The shutter button does not seem to be in the right place. If a short cut key could have been provided, it would have been a better way to operate the camera. The speed at which screen is switched from vertical to horizontal has been found to be slow. As far as the camera activation is concerned, it could have been made faster, and there is no "delete all" function to delete all SMS messages.

If you are looking for a mobile phone, which is small, light weight, having a good user interface, and online help pop-ups, Nokia 6220 would be your best buy. The battery life is the other good feature in this limited feature phone, and goes a long way whether you are talking, or playing games.
