Now, you come to the easy part. Which color should you buy? The choice nowadays is so vast that you are almost stumped when you try to decide. A lighter color car will show the dirt much more easily, and will always demand you to keep it clean. If you are not one of those who clean their car daily, look for darker colors. You can be lazy for a day or two. The choice of color is totally up to your preference or that of the family if they are also involved in buying the car. An eye catching color is more easily remembered by people than a plain dull colored one.

Now let’s look at the inside of the car. The dealer will indicate to you the fitments and accessories that are standard. Today, even CD systems and mp3 players are considered standard. You can always change the interior by opting for heated seats, a more sophisticated sound system, and fancy trim and personalized floor mats or seat covers. They will cost you extra money, but then if your budget allows it and that you really want it, go for it. After all you do not buy a car every day.

Now, let’s look at the other costs like the insurance. You need to be clear as to what type of policy you want and what risks you will like to be covered for. Some may be mandatory, but others are a personal choice, and you will be well advised to consult the insurance company before you decide on this.

Make sure that the dealer you buy the car from is able to direct you to an authorized service station which can service your car and help you to maintain it in good condition, throughout its life. This is a very important aspect, and if you go for some exotic model whose service facilities are nonexistent, you may find yourself stranded, or have to go through a lot of expense to send your car out where such facilities are available.

Go through all of these aspects and anything more that you can think about, or which your friends can suggest. You need to be sure that the car you ultimately buy at great expense is the right one for you.
