Are you planning your next holiday? Are you craving somewhat of a 'mental vacation' from the stresses at home and work? Why not take a trip to the world renowned Lake District Hotels to truly experience relaxation and natural beauty?

The Lake District Hotels are located in Northwest England. The Lake District area, also known as Lakeland, is nothing but breathtaking with the English backdrop that surrounds the calm beauty of the area. It's no wonder that the great poet, William Wordsworth, was so influenced by this area in his youth. The scenery is undoubtedly glorious and one that should not be missed in this lifetime.

The experience in this popular vacation destination is second to none. Whatever your fancy, there is something for everyone -- from the luxurious hotels and cozy cottages, to mountain biking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. This is the ideal getaway for those looking for an adventurous getaway.

The area is an amazing combination of lakes and mountains, also known as fells. Here, the possibilities are endless. Whether you care to put on a pair of hiking boots and take a gander around the beautiful mountainside, or even climb all the way up Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England -- the choice is yours. Afterwards you could choose to relax indoors at one of the Lake District Hotels. Either way, you will not be disappointed.

The Lake District hotel experience is a fit for all occasions. Picture taking your sweetheart there on holiday or your honeymoon! What about a spur of the moment romantic getaway? However, it would also be a wonderful retreat for the entire family. The Lake District is even dog friendly!

A holiday in the Lake District is a return to the basic, simplistic beauties of life, mixed in with modern luxury. In addition to admiring the landscape, the activities include bird watching and boating on the gorgeous lakes. Hot air balloon rides are extremely popular in the Lake District area.

However, it doesn't end there. Lake District hotels, of course, have the classic amenities that would draw in even the most activity reliant vacationer. There are lush golf courses, and for those with an adventurous streak, horseracing and horseback riding. If motor sports are your cup of tea, the Lake District Hotels have those as well. Water sports, for obvious reasons, are also an extremely popular activity.

No matter where you go or what you do in the area, the scenery is the main attraction. Therefore, if you're an amateur or professional photographer, this is the spot for you. Even shopping and taking long walks will be an adventure in the rustic, yet modern, beauty that the Lake District area provides.

At the Lake District hotels, the attractions are endless. The English background offers a wide array of history that seems to come alive. There are art galleries filled with some of the greatest works. Castles that have been around for years, but still stand proud to this day. The architecture beauty of the area is unsurpassed. There are several churches and Abbeys to admire, as well as museums that should not be missed during your stay in the Lake District.

Let's not forget one of the most important parts of the Lake District Hotel experience -- the food and drinks! England is known for the wonderful cafes and Tea Rooms, so no vacation would be complete without a visit to a few of them during your stay.

When the kids are not around, why not try out one of the famous Inns or Pubs? The area has real ales that are remarkable. The restaurants are unique, and each has its own speciality that adds a distinctive flavour to your vacation. If you would rather have a night out on the town, there are wine bars that will put you in the festive mood and allow you ample time to spend with friends or someone special and perhaps breakfast at a local bistro the next morning.

Now how does that sound for a vacation?
