Law Of Attraction – The Vital Manifesting Ingredient Most People Miss

The Missing Ingredient
Most seekers who practice Law of Attraction techniques understand the basics. They understand that we create our reality with our thoughts and emotions. They practice visualization and repeat affirmations. They also cultivate their attitudes of gratitude. However, there are many seekers who, despite their best efforts, find themselves waiting and waiting, growing more and more disillusioned as their goals remain beyond reach. They tend to think that they need to do more of what they’ve been doing, when in fact they need to do less. The most vital Law of Attraction tool escapes them: they need to let go.

Why Let Go?
Why is letting go crucial? Because if you want something really badly and you are NOT letting go, it probably means that you’re attached to the thing you desire. And if you are attached, it means that you are maintaining a “vibration of separation.” In other words you are telling the Universe, “I really want this thing. I want it so badly. And I want it badly because I don’t have it. I’m separate from it.” Since the Law of Attraction tells us that like attracts like, if you tell the Universe that you are separate from something, you will attract more of the same: you being separate from that which you desire.

When you let go, however, you release all of the energy that is fueling the illusion of separation. When you let go, you come into the present moment and become more able to focus on all that you have. When you are present with and grateful for what you have, you attract more of the experience of having.

How to Let Go
So how does one let go? Well, letting go of relatively unimportant things is fairly easy. But when we are holding on to something for dear life - because we think we need it, because we can’t imagine life without it – then letting go becomes quite the dilemma. In these circumstances there is essentially only one technique for letting go, and that is Replacement Therapy.

Replacement Therapy is a practice which has you replace the thing you think is your source (i.e. your dream, your desire, the thing you want) with your true Source. When you are attached to something, it is because you think it is the source of your happiness, the source of your wholeness, the source of your well-being, etc. But nothing outside of you is your source. Your true source is Source Energy itself. And the fact is that it is already inside of you. It is in you. It expresses as you and through you. It is all around you. As a matter of fact, there is nothing that is not Source. It is in understanding and contemplating this truth that one becomes more and more able to let go.

You may ask, “What exactly am I letting go of?” Good question. When you let go, you are creating the space for your desire to come to you. You are letting go of all the things you cannot control. You are letting go of how it comes to you and when it comes to you.

You are even letting go of the thing itself because when you harness the power of the Law of Attraction, you are choosing to fly instead of walk toward your dream. And when you fly, you allow a force greater than you to lift you up and carry you. That means you don’t need to know the details.

Source handles that. And even though you may think you know what you want, Source really knows better than you what you want. Source will always give you the best possible version of what you want if you allow it. When you let go of the thing itself, you are allowing it or some¬thing better to come into your experience.

Replacement Therapy
Quite simply Replacement Therapy is the practice of turning your attention away from the external thing you want and placing it fully on Source. It is the practice of contemplating the higher truth of your situation. It is about reminding yourself that there is no scarcity, there is only infinite abundance; that the love you seek does not come from a person outside of you, but rather that you ARE love; and that perfect health can be resurrected when you open your awareness to your true nature as a whole being.

Replacement Therapy is the practice of willingness, where you tell yourself, “I’m willing to perceive the abundance that is here, even if I cannot see it. I’m willing to experience the vibrant health that I already possess even if I can not feel it.”

Replacement Therapy is the practice of surrender where you take a deep breath and talk to Source saying, “Okay Source. I don’t know how to fix this situation. But I’m told you are all-loving and all-powerful. I’m willing to give you a shot at this. I surrender this whole situation to you. I open my mind and heart to receive new insights, new possibilities, and even miracles into my life.”

Developing Your Own Relationship with Source
All this being said, you may be compelled to ask, “What IS Source, anyway!? What am I surrendering to?!” For Replacement Therapy to work well, you must identify for yourself a concept, a construct, a notion, an idea, of a thing that is more than you, or at least the mere mortal you, which you can turn to when you are letting go. This thing must make you feel good when you think of it. This thing IS your true source. It must be unconditional. It must be all-good, all-loving, all-forgiving, all-knowing, all-powerful and eternal. Now, some may say that God is this. Some may say that Source is this. Some may say that Infinite Intelligence, Divine Spirit, Goddess (whatever name you prefer) is this.

But until you discover how this could possibly be true for you, it won’t matter what anyone says.

In order to practice Replacement Therapy, you must have and cultivate a very personal relationship with Source, one based in your truth. The tricky thing is, although surveys show that the great majority of people do believe in a higher power, our beliefs or lack thereof about this higher power may very well be based in things above and beyond our own truths. You may have already embarked on the journey of developing this very personal relationship with Source. Or, you may not have done this work yet, in which case, your beliefs may be based in what you have been taught or adopted without further exploration. Your ideas, constructs and notions about God may not be based in your truth at all, but in other people’s truths. And because we as humans all possess limiting filters, we tend to apply those filters to our ideas about God.

But here’s the thing: If you do not have a notion of a higher power that is 100% safe to turn to, you will not be able to practice Replacement Therapy. Your source must be that safe haven you turn to when you let go – over and over and over again – of those things you desire most and the things you cannot control. If your ideas about God scare you, or make you feel bad, how do you expect to let go of the grip the conditions of your humanity have on you and turn your trust over to a conditional higher power?

And the surprising upshot of all of this? In the short-term, letting go provides the vital missing ingredient in manifesting that which you desire. But long-term, as you cultivate this relationship with the very Source that gives you all that you desire, your life shifts from manifesting abundance, to being the abundance that you are and always were. As you let go of control - the details, the events, and the circumstances of your life of your life – you begin to let go of the limitations that keep you small. The practice of letting go, will not only lead you to the dreams you know you have, but they’ll also lead you to a dream that may have been dormant – the opportunity to discover and express your infinite nature as co-creator of your life.
