I'm positive you already are aware of how to play beer pong but for the few out there who don't: Beer Pong is played by racking cups in a triangle formation on both sides of a table. The Players on either side of the table take turns trying to shoot ping pong balls into the other team's beer cups. Everytime one of your cups are hit, you have to drink it. The person or team to hit every one of their opponent's cups are declared the winners! Although Beer Pong is very fun on it's own, and can be played at almost every college party nowasays, very competitive teams like to participate in Assassin Beer Pong. In Assassin Beer Pong, you have to call out which cup you are going to sink before you nail it. If you designate the front cup and hit the cup in the back left, nothing happens, the ping pong ball is taken out and used by the opposing team. Same general rules are applicable as with Beirut, the player that hits all their opponent's cups wins. There is no bouncing in Assassin but hot shots (if both players on a team sink a cup in one round then they get to go again) do apply.

This version of Beer Pong is not advisable for house parties or places where many potential players are patiently waiting to play because games obviously tend to take a bit longer. This is kind of a way for small groups of recreational pong teams to really test their abilities and have more challenging games. Civil War Beer Pong takes beer pong to a whole new level - it definitely can get pretty insane. A wider table is required to play this, at least 4 ft wide. 3 players match up on both sides and fill up 6 cups in front of them (so there are 18 solo cups total on each team). Whenever one of your cups get hit you drink, once all your cups are out you are now kicked out of the match. In Civil War Pong, there are no turns, the balls are completely free. You can go for any ping pong ball that is not in mid shot and is not over the middle of the beer pong table. When you get knocked out, you are allowed to help your teammates by grabbing free balls for your team.

The problem with Civil War beer pong is a person can wind up drinking many beers in an hour if you are not careful - games can end very quickly so its a must to switch teams in between Civil War Beer Pong games. Please, always take a cab home.

Thats about it! Show your friends these different variations of Beer Pong if they are not familiar with them. It's sure to throw a curveball into your usual Beer Pong Gaming. Just be careful playing Civil War with really drunk people because as I mentioned earlier in this article, that game in particular can get pretty crazy!
