How Do I Start Blogging?

Anyone can start a blog. It's uncomplicated and often free. All you have to do is:

Find a decent blogging provider like Blog.com, Blogagotchi.com, Diaryland.com, WordPress.com, TheDiary.org, Mindsay.com Blogdrive.com, and Xanga.com. Most of these sites are ready to use and don't require much technical know-how.

Once you sign up, you'll have ready-made templates to choose from. You can then pick colors and layout for your blog, then add your name, interests, images, etc.

You then have to decide if you want your blog to be private or public. Do you want any Internet visitor to access your blog, or do you just want your friends and family to be able to read it? You can choose to password-protect your published posts so that select visitors can view what you've written.

After setting up your blog, post a few entries check the layout or style and make adjustments if needed. Visit other blogs to build a blogging circle. When you leave comments, add your blogging address so they can visit you too. This can work only if your blog is public.

Then you have to come up with interesting topics for your blog posts. Once you are done with, the process becomes more difficult. At this stage you should not break. You should now focus on matters where you solved some problems for which solutions are readily available with you and you create your blog posts from those experiences.

Publish your blog by sending the URL to your friends or publish the URL on your website if you have one. Add it then to posts that you make on other blogs.

You can start posting your thoughts, comments, pictures and videos. Update your blog frequently, and more people will regularly read it. Establishing a reader base will motivate you to write more and in turn more people will read your posts.

Get into the habit of blogging. Make it part of your day. Soon, you will notice things which you will feel like sharing, like movie reviews or a song that you heard or a restaurant that you visited or your thoughts on world peace. Circles of interest are the essence of blogging, and it can soon make you an authority on your chosen subject. Keep the posts interesting. Check your spellings before posting. Blogging is fun, especially if you enjoy writing. It is a great stress reliever

Some sites allow you to make money from your blog by placing Google Ad Sense advertisements or using an Amazon Associates ID. If it becomes popular, your blog could start paying your bills.

Don't lose interest if no one visits your site for the first few months. it might initially take some time for your blog to get noticed. You can find blog aggregators who will place a link to your site on their web page and/or have a feed running from your blog so that every time you post something, it will show up on the blog aggregator homepage. Also, this can help increase readership.

If you want an international readership, do not use too many abbreviations or slang terms that might not be easily understood by people who are not from your country/area.
