Simple Cooking Recipes - Quick and Easy Dishes

Every busy mom needs lots of simple cooking recipes in her arsenal. There is a variety of simple cooking recipes, some are just fast and easy as far as the preparation goes, but needs some time in the oven. Others are ready in a very short while.

The macaroni supper dish takes only minutes to prepare but needs to bake in the oven for 30 minutes. For me that is not a problem as I can continue with some of my other work in the meantime. I find that by the time I've laid the table, made a quick but healthy salad and have the family all ready for supper, the 30 minutes are over before I realize it!

Quick Macaroni Supper Dish

Ingredients:

* ½ packet boiled macaroni
* 1 tin mushroom soup
* 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
* 1 tin corned beef, flattened with fork
* 1 packet mushroom soup
* ¾ pt. water

Method:

1. Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to preheat
2. Grease an oven proof dish
3. Prepare the packet of mushroom soup with the water.
4. Mix the macaroni, corned beef, grated cheese and the 2 soups lightly with a fork.
5. Turn the mixture into the greased oven proof dish and bake it for ½ hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Here is another of our family's favorite simple cooking recipes.

Buy your ground beef when it is on a special and this dish will be an ideal cheap and simple cooking recipe for the meat lovers. The preparation for this dish is a little more than for the previous one, but frying the onions, garlic and meat does not take that long.

With the tomato puree and tomatoes in this easy recipe, it is very flavorful and tasty. You do not have to serve more with it than a tossed salad. Even though this is essentially a dish for a light meal, with a salad it can easily serve as the main meal of the day.

Easy Savory Noodle Dish

Ingredients:

* 10 oz noodles
* 2-3 cloves of garlic, crushed
* 4 T sp. oil
* 8 oz tomato paste (canned)
* Salt and pepper
* ¼ pd. strong-flavored cheese
* ½ pd. cottage cheese
* Crumbs mixed with butter
* 1 onion
* 1 pd. ground beef
* 2 cloves
* 14 oz tin of tomatoes
* 2 cups white sauce
* 2 eggs
* 1 chopped green pepper

Method:

1. Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to preheat
2. Grease an oven proof dish
3. Fry the onion, garlic, and meat in the oil until it is light brown.
4. Add the tomatoes, puree, cloves, green pepper, salt and pepper.
5. Simmer the mixture slowly for half an hour.
6. Mix the cottage cheese with the eggs and the white sauce.
7. Cook the noodles according to the instruction on the package
8. Drain the cooked noodles.
9. Pour half of the noodles into the greased oven proof dish and cover it with half of the meat and then half of the white sauce. Add a layer of grated cheese.
10. Repeat the layers making sure you end with a layer of grated cheese.
11. Sprinkle the buttered crumbs over the top of the dish.
12. Bake the dish in the oven for 30 minutes, or until it is golden brown, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

These two simple cooking recipes is one of my favorite stand by's. It is possible to have dinner on the table in less than an hour, with that 30 minutes backing time giving you the opportunity to lay the table and make the salad. I try and make sure that I always have the ingredients for these two simple cooking recipes in the house.
