While searching for new bar stools, you've probably come across more than a few types of rustic bar stools. Manufactured in styles that range from Southwestern to Rocky Mountain these charming barstools can add charm and character to any home. With a couple shrewd decorating choices, you can add a few rustic bar stools to your bar, even if you don't already have rustic furniture. By following these simple instructions, the beautiful set of barstools that you've been eyeing can fit in seamlessly with the rest of your décor.

Adding Rustic Barstools to Your Home

Don't be intimidated by the distinct look of these bar stools, by shopping wisely you can have them in your home without having to buy an entire new furniture set.

* Pick up a key element in your current design and find rustic bar stools that mimic that element. Whether it's the unique curve of your sofa or the unfinished pine of your shabby chic coffee table, using that element to bring together your design you can find barstools that will complement instead of clash.

* Consider cushions. By having cushions made or finding cushions that match your drapes or upholstery, you can blend together your current décor with your rustic barstools.

* Add them to your outdoor bar. Rustic outdoor furniture is perfectly suited to natural surroundings. No matter what your style is inside your home, outdoor bar stools are great in rustic wood and iron. Make sure that when you buy your bar stools that they can withstand the elements outdoors.

* Choose bar stools with a more clean design if you have a very modern home. Rustic barstools come in all shapes and sizes, so you actually have a wide range of styles to choose between. Some have very clean lines and can fit very nicely into a more modern home.

* Use a rustic bar stool as a nifty table if you don't have a home bar or if it wouldn't fit in at your bar. By moving the barstool to another part of your home, you can enjoy the stool you saw without having to change your bar area.

Whether you choose wood, wrought iron, or horn rustic bar stools, make sure that you allow at least 12 inches from the bottom of your bar to the top of your barstool for adequate legroom. Let your imagination run wild and you can create the look of your dreams.

Extra Tips:

The solution then is to find some barstool plans and build/customize your own. There are many options available in the material, which can be used for building your own barstools are metal, wood, bamboo, iron, etc. There are different styles also available such as the retro, swivel, whether it has back or not but there are different metal colors, different designer fabrics, whether it is meant for indoors or outdoors and so on and so forth. You are the best judge of your bar as you are the owner and hence you are the best person to decide on what stools to get. At times we want to make our own barstools to provide our need.
