AcneRX Vitamins Exposed By Cornelius Walker At Isnare.com Ezine Articles

Many people are claiming AcneRX is a good product and the scientific studies on the ingredients sound promising. But are the scientific claims made by the manufacturers true or is it all faked? Here what I found out about the three biggest claims they made about Acne RX.

One of the biggest boldest claims AcneRX makes is that it contains “two important skin nutrients that ELIMINATED the necessity of antibiotics such as tetracycline, and have virtually eliminated their use!”

I looked into it and found that AcneRX is making reference to a study done by the International Journal Of Dermatology by researchers Ayers and Mihan. If you look closely into the study these two important skin nutrients are Vitamins A and E in special doses.

It looks like the doses of vitamins used in the study are extremely high but AcneRX contains higher levels of these nutrients than most regular multivitamins. Can it get rid of your acne just as effectively? It might, but I'm not completely certain. You can find the reference here:

Another claim made in the AcneRX website is that acne lesions are slashed by an “incredible seventy one percent!”

What the manufacturers are referring to is a study done by the Journal of Pharmacological Sciences 2003 Dec;93(4):458-64. And they are referring to the Omega-3 fatty acids present in the AcneRX system. Look closely at the study and you will find that people who are strict on their diets while taking Omega-3 fatty acids did actually reduce their acne lesions by the claimed amount.

Again the doses of Omega-3's in the study and AcneRX differ a little bit and I don't know what kind of clear skin effects that would have on you.

The third claim that caught my eye is ingredients in Acne RX is “AS EFFECTIVE as prescription drug Zileuton at reducing inflammatory chemicals!” The study to support this claim is done by Wake Forest University and is done with participants taking 2 grams of Omega-3's per day.

Now this is a little confusing people when you buy fish oil supplements, the label usually says that it contains 2,000 mg (or 2 grams) of fish oil, but NOT the actual Omega-3's like EPA and DHA. Although AcneRX contains a little more than 2 grams of Omega-3's they are missing one ingredient called GLA in their supplementation which may give differing results.

In conclusion, although I think AcneRX has thoroughly backed up it's claims, not all their ingredients are exactly in accordance to most of the studies they presented. So I cannot accurately predict how it will clear your acne. The proof seems promising, but I'm not sure how well it works in the real world.
