Habits of Highly Effective Network Marketers By Glenn Antoine At Isnare.com Ezine Articles

There are a couple of things that I want to point out before I really get into the important parts of this article.

First and foremost, don't let the title fool you as anyone can benefit from the contents contained here. If you want to experience success in any area of your life, if you are Network Marketer wanting more success, or any of a thousand situations that you may find yourself.

Secondly, if you have been reading any of my other articles you will recognize this as a continuation of my attempt to pass along the knowledge gained from reading "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". When I first read this book, I noticed that Stephen Covey asks early on that as the reader we shift our paradigm from that of learning to that of teaching.

With that concept in mind, he asks that we try to pass on our newly acquired knowledge in an attempt to gain more from the material. For some reason this time through it hit me that I should write about that newly acquired knowledge thereby sharing with an unlimited number of people.

Early on in the in the Overview of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", Stephen Covey defines habits as the intersection of Knowledge, Skill and Desire. Personally, I am very much impressed with this definition of habits, especially as it applies to those entrepreneurs that have engaged in the profession of Network Marketing. All too often those new to the Network Marketing or MLM profession are full of Desire, but have little Knowledge and/or Skill required to experience true success.

This is where Stephen's discussion of P/PC and the balance that is required for true success. In this example "P" is the "Production" and "PC" is the "Production Capability". According to the theory we must continually invest in "PC" if we expect to benefit from "P". As you may have guessed our most important asset is our ability to earn. Without continual investment in our ability to earn (PC) we are locked into our current financial situation, have limited options and really have little hope of things changing.

As an entrepreneur in the MLM profession you are without a doubt your most important asset. Continued improvement in your Leadership, Marketing, Speaking, and Sales (Recruiting) skills you will find yourself limiting your earning potential. However, you are also doing a tremendous disservice to those that you work with, because when you begin to limit yourself, you begin to limit your ability to pass on the much needed Skills and Knowledge.

Change and sacrifice are often difficult challenges. However, if you begin to look around at the most successful people that you know they embrace change and often sacrifice today for want they want later. Regardless of a person's profession (sports professional, business professional, network marketer, small business owner) those that are creating lasting success understand these principles.

Keep the Desire burning, but map out a plan to improve on the Skills and Knowledge required to achieve your goals, dreams and success that you so desire. As your skills and knowledge improve take time to mentor those that you come in contact with. If you eternalize all that you gain it is of limited value. However, if you share with those around you everyone wins. Those that you are mentoring win because they are gaining new skills and in many cases because this is the direct result of mentoring, that learning curve is not as challenging. You win because in the process of mentoring others you gain more insight and in many cases as a direct result of questions that you field, your skills are improved.

While I truly wish that I could share all that I have gain from the reading of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" it is simply not possible. More importantly I am convinced that each time I pick up this book I learning a little something new. This book is truly a must read if you want to experience success in all that you do. The insights gained are applicable to not only your professional, but your personal life. Regardless of your profession and especially for those of you who share my passion for the Network Marketing profession, you owe it to yourself to get a copy of this book and read it until it begins to fall apart. At that point you will have a solid foundation in the habits required to experience success throughout life.
