Is the process of transforming a room in your house into a cozy nursery? Choosing furniture for your bundle of joy can be fun and exciting, but at the same time perplexing, especially for new parents who are given dizzying options in this day and age. There is a vast assortment of reasonably priced charming baby furniture and accessories which may complement your child’s bedroom décor. Above style matters, it is very important to keep the baby’s safety and comfort in mind.

Fortunately, many baby furniture stores and online shops offer all these, while also throwing in built-in convenience features, like moving parts and handy storage options that may be utilized even when the child grows up.

With the safety factors down pat, try to get baby furniture that is also easy to accommodate in your house. For the precious new family member, among the first essential baby furniture you must focus on is the crib. Besides lasting durability and attractive design, lead-free and non-toxic coatings must be on top of your mind. Check out several good deals with free shipping to various states in online sites. For a baby girl, one online store gives a glimpse of Old World antiques cribs with soft, rounded features, which come in different sizes and configurations to suit customers’ requirements. The crib also complies with standards set forth by safety organizations. A pretty canopy-themed crib is another option. For a baby boy, you may want to opt for a convertible crib, or if your budget allows it, a crib with a baby changing station. Whatever your choice, again you have to make sure that the furniture has smooth edges and is done in non-toxic paint, finishes or stains. Shopping with an eco-friendly mindset as well as when it comes to baby’s mattress and beddings. You may opt for an organic cotton mattress. Remember also to air the mattress out a month or two before placing it in the crib.

Most stores offer charming baby furniture sets that include dresser/shelf, wardrobe, crib and hypoallergenic beddings that will not compromise your baby’s sleep and overall health. Moreover, there are stores that will allow you to easily complement your first set of baby furniture when the little yeller turns into a toddler and start requiring a sturdy new bed and playpen, table and chair sets, high chairs, rockers and stools.

Another piece of baby furniture new parents may want to invest on is a baby changing station/table. Some types have adjustable height. What is important is that it is made of safe materials and no sharp edges. Safety belts/harness and soft raised edges offer protection to prevent baby from rolling off.

Next on your list (unless you are among the lucky new parents who are gifted with it) may be a quality stroller. In a baby furniture store I once visited, I caught a glimpse of the Rolls Royce of baby strollers, a Bugaboo Cameleon stroller in yellow tailored fabric with a streamlined frame that looked quite attractive and durable, and comes with an anti-allergenic mattress, mosquito net and rain cover. Many other premium brands are versatile, suited for infants until they turn into toddlers, like the Bumbleride Flyer.

You may want to purchase is a high chair. What you must choose is one that does not rock easily and has a simple design which is easy to clean. Moreover, its tray must not be easily moved by baby’s busy hands.
