One of the more popular types of arthritis is Osteoporosis. What happens when you get this is you are not receiving enough calcium to your bones. When the bones lose excessive calcium, this results in loss of bone density. You are more likely to have more fractures because your bones are more fragile and brittle. Most of the time women have this softer bone density than men.

One form of arthritis is Osteoporosis, and is simply one of many different types, but they all have something very much in common. What is this commonality? It is pain… One thing that you can do to subdue the pain is to reduce the inflammation and a way to do that is with Amazing Arthritis Relief. You may be able to take just one multivitamin to meet your calcium and vitamin D demands. But the main thing that you need to do is ask your doctor and make sure that you are doing all that is required to prevent osteoporosis, and see if the calcium and vitamin D supplements are needed in your diet.

If you are a tobacco user or drinker, your physician may also advise you to limit these activities as much as possible. Research has established that smoking can bring down estrogen levels, leaving your bones more at risk for losing bone mass. As mentioned earlier, excessive drinking of alcohol can cause problems and has been shown to lower bone density. Another essential preventive step is to ensure you are getting some form of regular physical exercise. Weight bearing exercises and sports have been shown to improve muscle strength and can help build bone mass. Walking is another good overall choice.

For numerous women who have already been diagnosed with osteoporosis, one viable treatment option is estrogen treatment. When trying to prevent osteoporosis, estrogen replacement therapy has worked very well. A lot of the time the hips and the spine can be the trouble area's and the estrogen therapy can help to increase the bone mass in these area's. However, some women have experienced side effects from the use of estrogen replacement therapy. One thing that has been noticed is the increase in risk for breast cancer and the use of estrogen has been seen, so you must talk to your doctor about this. Now on the other side of the side effects, it seems the the estrogen can reduce the risk of heart attacks and heart failure.

Estrogen is not the only therapy or treatment option for those who suffer from osteoporosis. New drug therapies are currently being developed. Some are as easy as the practice of prescription drugs which can aid to bring up the bone density and can also slow down the progression of the condition. One thing that you have to do is to confer with your doctor about what is better for you and your conditions. There is pain that comes with all types of arthritis and osteoporosis is no different and one type of pain reliever is an all natural pain reliever.
