What do you do when regular giving of offerings does not seem to work for you? The bible in Hebrews 10 verses 1-3 says "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year" (KJV)

Here we see the failure of regular religious sacrifices to offer a complete solution to the sin problem. And believe me, if these sacrifices could not resolve the sin problem, regular giving will not resolve a financial or health problem today no matter how many times the sacrifices are made. It is like a person with a rifle but no bullets. Such a person has so much potential but they will be totally ineffective in war unless they have both the proper training and ammunition for the weapon.

But I know that our God is wonderful and always provides his children with clear directions. Look at Hebrews 11:4 "By an act of faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice to God than Cain. It was what he believed, not what he brought, that made the difference. That's what God noticed and approved as righteous - -" (Msg). Aha! So God rejected one offering and accepted another on the basis of faith. Simply put, faith offering makes the natural substance pleasing and acceptable to God. Do you see how faith will transform your regular giving into a powerful spiritual tool?

The scripture above confirms that Abel came with an offering and in faith. He came with both physical substance and faith substance, right? On one hand, you can say that my seed is like a rifle. If I chose to, I can use it like a club and clobber someone real bad provided I am able to sneak close enough and they happen to be poor fighters! But it is a misuse of the weapon at hand. I could swap guns numerous times and get no better. What I need is some lessons on the proper use of this weapon.

On the other hand, faith is like rifle bullets. Although they pack so much power, the bullets are simply no good by themselves alone. Imagine if you saw me hurl a pack of magazines at an attacker while holding a gun on the other hand? So pathetic, quite miserable!

Finally, think about the power of a loaded gun in the hands of a straight shooter. That is how a combination of regular giving with faith looks like. Faith offering will effectively work to produce an abundance harvest. When we take time to meditate on the word of God, we can then speak in faith to load the seed with power. For example you can use Malachi 3:10 where the tithe is concerned and declare:- "I have brought my tithe to God and the Lord has opened windows of heaven for me: I have received so much from the Lord that my bank account overflows and I have more than enough to bless others, glory to God!"

So go on and do it. Stop fighting with an empty gun of religious giving. Pack your weapon with the power of the word of God confessed in faith and receive your harvest. Be diligent and willing to learn about faith offering and you can quickly graduate from fighting with pistols to using powerful tanks. And remember that tank shells will not work in a pistol!

Think about that! We have an attack on - the social economic system is collapsing all around. We need some fresh tactics, proper weapons and better training to repulse this attack. It is time to immerse your mind in the word and get properly armed to use faith in every area of your life. Check this site Tim Greenwood Ministries for bible faith teaching.
