Destination weddings are quite popular, especially for those who have dreamt of getting married on a white sandy beach somewhere. The one thing about a destination wedding is that many friends and family members will be unable to attend because of the timing and cost involved. So, you should plan on an intimate affair. Of course, you could have lots of friends and family members who are able to attend, so this may not be the case for you. If your bridesmaids gift is roundtrip airfare for each girl then you will certainly have a large wedding party! At any rate, since it is your wedding you must choose a destination.

Costs can be minimized to some extent by choosing a destination within the country but still is somewhat exotic and exciting for your guests. Some examples are the Florida keys with their tropical beaches, San Francisco with it’s beautiful vistas, Yosemite national park with the breathtaking mountain scenery or Las Vegas with it’s unparalleled nightlife.

When it comes to choosing a wedding destination you may be torn. You will be spending your honeymoon in this location so it is important for you to think through the entire ceremony and honeymoon when making a decision. Keep in mind your wedding party and guests will likely make a vacation of the wedding, too, so they will probably be around. You may want to give a bridesmaids gift of a gift certificate to the hotel or spa so your bridesmaids can enjoy their vacation, too.

Some great wedding destinations include tropical islands like St. Lucia, Bermuda, Bahamas, Aruba, and the like. These locations are always warm and beautiful. But, they are also in the path of potential hurricanes so this should be kept in mind. If your wedding is outside the hurricane season between June and the end of October then you will have less to worry about. Other locations include Europe(Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Germany are all fantastic), Alaska, a cruise line, and anywhere in the world you have dreamed of visiting.

Once you make a final decision then you will want to start thinking about other wedding items you will need to take with you. One example is a bridesmaids gift. You should buy those at home and give them to the girls at your bachelorette party so you don’t have to pack them. Of course, if you go for a gift to the resort or a massage when you are on the island then that is always a great bridesmaids gift that doesn’t have to be packed!

The great thing about planning a destination wedding is that you can realize your dream wedding. There are many resorts that will handle all the details, too, for a fee so that you can arrive stress-free and ready to tie the knot! If all you had to worry about is what bridesmaids gift to buy then you would certainly have an amazing time and avoid the stress that most brides experience.
