Why would you want to get your paintball team sponsored? The answer is simple: money. You know better than anyone just how expensive paintball equipment can be; if you play paintball often you know how easy it is to blow through a few hundred dollars every time you buy new ammo and equipment. You’ll find this to be totally unnecessary if you can find someone to sponsor you. When you have a sponsor, they will pay you a certain amount of money which you both agree upon. While they may not pay all of your expenses, they will definitely help to lighten the burden.

You will find, however, that as long as you know the correct methods of approaching potential sponsors, it is not difficult to find companies that are willing to cover your expenses.

If you are going to get a sponsor, then you are first going to have to approach a company with your pitch. Honestly, this is the most difficult step of the whole process. You may imagine that most business people are very busy and don’t have time to discuss things that don’t involve them. While this is sometimes true, you will find that the majority of
businesses are willing and even eager to discuss such matters with you. Businesses will be especially happy to talk to you if you have something to offer them, and in this case you do; you have the ability to provide them advertising at a great price.

It can cost businesses a lot of money to promote their business, and paying for your paintball equipment is probably less expensive then their other means of promotion. Not to mention the fact that they will probably get much more exposure from sponsoring your team than they would from the other, more traditional methods. When you look at it this way, you are actually doing these companies a favor by approaching them; it is up to them whether or not they want to take advantage of the great offer you are making.
