Unconventional Personal Trainer Marketing Strategies

Sometimes when you want to bring clients into your personal training business, you have to use some unconventional personal trainer marketing strategies to get the attention that you need. However, you have to get attention in a way that doesn’t say “I am desperate.” You have to get it in a way that asks the question, “Are you desperate for a personal trainer?” And you can take it from there.

But what are some unconventional personal trainer marketing strategies? What are some ways that go outside of the usual stuff such as buying ad space, running pay per click campaigns, and blogging? Here are some things to consider:

• Many social networking sites were totally against marketing at one time, but many of them have put certain tools in place that keeps people from being marketed to if they don’t want to be marketed to. If you try to add them, they know what you want. If they add you, that means they are giving you permission to market to them.

• Start an online forum. Use your website, your blog, or whatever else you have to market this message forum. On the forum, individuals can ask you fitness questions and you will answer them promptly and this is one of the most effective personal trainer marketing platforms. They can also share their stories and various other things that can help one another. From there, you can offer special deals to them to allow you to be their personal trainer.

• Do weekly chats with individuals. On a certain night each week, hold a chat session. Again, you can advertise this on your blog, your website, and on your social networking site. Make people eager to hear what you have to say. This also gives them a chance to ask you questions live.

• Join online fitness forums and talk about your services. Even if it is not a forum that is specific to your geographic area, there are people in your area frequenting these forums. If you do find one specific to your area, make sure you let people know who you are. This is a great and very free unconventional personal trainer marketing strategy.

• Do a referral program online. This means that you can offer a commission to anyone who is able to refer individuals to you. If the individual becomes a client, then the person who did the referring will gain a commission.

After using these unconventional personal trainer marketing strategies, try to set up free consultations with these individuals. Show them that you mean business and show them how it is they need you. Don’t make it so much about how you need them. Turn their thinking around so that you can lure them in even faster. It is definitely something to think that the Internet can set this up for you. And what is great s that you can use your imagination. If you find that there is something you believe will work better, you can use them. How do you think that many of these unconventional personal trainer marketing strategies ever came about? They came about because someone was creative.

Just make sure that you are not appearing to be desperate through your unconventional personal trainer marketing strategies. You’ll find that using the Internet makes it very easy for you to show what sort of expert you are in the field. You can let people see the non-desperate side of you because you have to take into consideration the number of people you are going to be able to reach through the Internet. You’re probably going to be warding them off with a stick because your unconventional personal trainer marketing strategies will work so well.
