Shopping Madness on Christmas

Have you ever observed a cockroach chase? It's incredible how after you open up the gates those small things starts crawling and running all over the place as if their heads were ablaze and they were looking for a spring of water to dive into, not realizing that they'd be diving to their eternal doom. Well, that's kind of what it's like to do shopping at the peak of Christmas. Well customarily, we all wait until the last minute shopping. It's December 24 and all of a sudden we realize that we need a hundred gifts to find and an hour to find them. What on Earth should we do?

That is what we call Christmas shopping madness, and the word madness is precisely what it is. The long lines at the malls at the checkout counters turn in circles multiplied several times. Parking lots are so overstuffed that you need to park your car in another block. You'll get more work out walking towards the store than you got all year having your food shopping. The discourtesy borders on the criminal. And if all that isn't terrible enough, you've got cosmetic girls locatec five feet apart, all trying to advertise you the most recent perfume, whether you're a he or a she, or young or old. It doesn't matter to them they’re only concerned on the money they are going to make.

However, believe it or not, there are means to keep away from all of this from happening. Christmas shopping doesn't have to be a quest in tropical rain forest warfare. You don't have to take your life in your hands on the roads or in the malls. There is a better system. When is the appropriate time to do your Christmas shopping? Are there options to trailing out to the malls?

The most appropriate time to do your Christmas shopping is immediately after Thanksgiving, but not the very next day of course. Most local stores and malls will have their first Christmas sale right after Thanksgiving and it usually last for a week. The day right after Thanksgiving is as awful as Christmas Eve. Everyone is going out to dig up those grand deals. But by Saturday, or even Sunday, the rush has eventually died down a great deal and you can get the same deals without too much getting on your nerves. This method saves you money and at the same time beat the mass of people.

If saving money isn't a main concern and you really want to have bare stores to go to, the best shopping times for you are between December 1 and December 15. You're sure to find that you're almost the only one in the store at this period. The roads will be pretty clear too.

Suppose you don't want to go out shopping at all? Basically, that is not a problem. These days, with the benefits of the Internet and being what it is, you can have your Christmas shopping online. A lot of companies even have door to door special delivery provisions where they assure you that you'll have your order right at your doorstep before Christmas. Others even recommend next day shipping for a very sensible fee.

Shopping at Christmas time doesn't have to be a horrible experience. With a little scheduling and a lot of choices on hand, Christmas shopping can really be a pleasurable experience but not until you get your credit card bill in the mail. Either way, remember to spend wisely.
