How to Achieve Manageable and Beautiful Hair Everyday

We all know how a bad hair day can ruin our mood for the rest of the day. Having great hair, every day all day makes us feel confident and ready to take on any challenge. Below are some tips for achieving great hair all the time.

Eat right for healthy hair

Any hair stylist in urbane scrubs will tell you that eating healthy food rich in vitamins and minerals is essential in keeping your hair healthy and lustrous, as well as in helping prevent hair loss. Hair is made of protein, so getting enough protein is a must! Foods rich in protein include chicken, fish, lean meat, tofu, soy products, and egg. Essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids, are also play a critical role in keeping your hair and nails strong and shiny. Foods rich in omega-3 include almonds, walnuts, flaxseed oil, tuna, salmon, mackerel, and other fatty fish. Vitamins that are vital for keeping hair smooth and healthy include vitamins B-6, B-12 and folic acid. Foods rich in B-6 vitamins include potatoes, sweet potatoes, banana, and spinach. Major sources of B-12 vitamins include poultry, meat, fish, and dairy products. You can get plenty of folic acid from fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly tomatoes and citrus fruits. Finally, trace minerals like zinc and magnesium also affect the condition of your hair and which you can get from seafood, vegetables and meat.

Wash your hair properly

Washing your hair properly can produce significant results. One of the most common mistakes people make is washing their hair with warm water. Washing your hair with warm water can make your hair dry because heat opens up the hair cuticles and releases hair’s natural moisture. If you like taking baths using warm water use a shower cap to cover your hair then use cold water for washing and rinsing your hair afterwards. Cold water will lock in your hair’s moisture and make it appear lustrous. Washing your hair everyday is also not recommended as it dries out the hair and ruins the hair’s cuticles. It is best to wash the hair every other day. When shampooing your hair, massage your scalp gently for about 40 seconds and rinse thoroughly and do the same procedure twice. Use conditioner after. Rub the conditioner on your hair, starting from the tips to the roots. Leave the conditioner on your hair for a few minutes to achieve silkier and softer hair then rinse thoroughly. You can also use leave-in or spray on conditioners once a week t penetrate deep into your hair cuticle sand heal damaged hair completely. After rinsing your hair, don’t rub your hair with a towel as this can make some of your hair fall. Blot damp hair instead and as much as possible, let your hair dry naturally. Use a wide brush to detangle your hair and brush carefully.

Choose your shampoo well

Avoid shampoos with harsh ingredients such as ammonium lauryl sulfate. Go with shampoos that are made with gentle organic ingredients such as olive oil, jasmine, citrus fruits, proteins, keratin, and vitamins. Choose a product according to the condition of your hair—whether you have dry, oily, normal or damaged hair.
