The term "bad hair day” has been a little overused. This is a puzzle for people who have hair that is usually presentable, if not perfectly styled and beautiful. Why do terrible hair days occur? How much of the time is it caused by mistreatment and not bad luck? Whose fault is it anyway? Hello? The Hair Gods maybe?

It is phrase that resonates with us since we sometimes try to boil away our problems into one unrelated complaint. Or does it hit a nerve because something fairly insignificant can overwhelm and spoil the day?

1. First, you need to make sure that you are not just projecting your irrelevant, bigger issues onto completely blameless hair. Some pensive meditation on your day can prove helpful. Is your hair the culprit? Sometimes taking a picture today and then again on one of your good days to compare it with will help. Do you think that your hair appears different? You need to get the root of the problem of why you continue to have bad hair days regardless of what you do to stop them.

2. If your bad hair days are happening more often, you risk them becoming (horror of horrors) ... normal hair days! Too oily or too dry, which is your hair? Either of these extremes will cause bad hair until you treat it back to good health. In order to accomplish this end, we need to change not only the hair products we are using but also how we eat and groom ourselves. Learn new methods and techniques for treating your dry hair and greasy hair. Get your hair condition right!

3. Days with bad hair can even be caused by a new style or cut. It takes weeks or days before your hair has grown enough to look good. When you are growing your hair it can often feel like you have bad hair days. Having a different stylist style hair can help you shake the bad hair day. If the bad hair stops as your hair grows longer, then take note of how long your hair needs to be in order to look attractive with that style. The more you talk to the hairstylist, the more that you will avoid bad hair days.

4. Does a rushed morning usually cause your bad hair days? We should all acquire healthy habits in the morning as we get ready for school, work or idling. When you sleep in it makes you rush and upsets your routine. So have a guess...sometimes our day doesn’t start off well due to a problem getting our hair to do what we want it to do. That routine took more time than we were allotted. Was this a time when you blow dried your hair longer or put more hair spray that you should have used? Maybe you forgot the product that your hairstyle needs. Sometimes we all have a tendency to ignore the empty bottle and the next morning we will chastise ourselves because we are out of a particular product. Slow down, rushing around is often the cause of experiencing bad hair days.

It is a good bet to believe that everyone knows somebody that never has bad hair days. Not one follicle is out of place in these cases. When hair is healthy, every cuticle will appear to shine. “Groan...It would be great if there was a way to do this" you think.
You might want someone to have an extraordinary bad hair experience but you can have healthy hair like theirs as well. You can be the individual who never experiences a terrible hair day. It’s all a matter of whether you want to tolerate the occasional bad hair day, or devote the time and effort to ensure that it never happens again. Are you prepared to follow these three steps?

- Fix your morning routine and you will do better.
- Talk over with your hairstylist what you really want your hair to do and the way you are currently taking care of it.
- Cope with your hair type and make the required changes to avoid dry or oily hair.

By following these steps you can put an end to the bad hair days that you dread so much.
