Resistance Band Exercises are arguably the best at home workout you can do. Why? Simple, it is because you do not need to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on huge machines or free weights and you can get the exact same results or better using these huge rubber bands. Plus some of the best training and fitness programs out there use resistance bands as the primary tool in the exercises.

The benefits of Resistance Band Exercises:

- They are extremely effective.

- They take up very little space and can be stored anywhere.

- You can pack them in your suitcase so you do not miss your workout on a business trip or vacation.

- They cost next to nothing in comparison to weights

- They are comfortable and not as tough on your joints as weights.

I could continue on listing the benefits on resistance bands. You may be thinking, "Well I will not get as good of a workout with resistance bands as I would with free weights." In many cases that could be true, unless you are not using the bands correctly. You need to know the correct ways to maximize the use of the resistance band exercises. Many people do not use free weights correctly so the problem actually goes both ways. Not all exercise techniques are created equal. There is are correct ways and incorrect ways to exercise using bands, weights or anything.

"Well if there are correct ways to use these bands then how do I learn?"

Great question. My answer is to get a great resistance band exercise video that you can do from home. Now there is some initial investment with these programs but they will not even cost what a gym membership charges up front just to sign up. So with that let us talk about P90X and 10 Minute Trainer, both by Tony Horton.

Tony Horton is one of the best fitness trainers in the world and these two programs give you two great options. First, the P90X, is an hour a day for 90 days extreme home workout system for those that are serious about getting in great shape and fast. While the 10 Minute Trainer is for those looking for a daily exercise as short as 10 minutes, but keeps you in the best shape of your life.

Both of these programs incorporate the use of resistance bands into the exercise. In fact in the p90x resistance bands are the primary tool used to achieve the amazing results that program can give.

Resistance band exercises are one of the best home exercises that... scratch that. They are one of the best all around exercises, whether you are at home or at the gym, that anyone can do. Not only are they extremely effective but they are soft on your wallet as well. Plus, like Tony Horton, the best fitness trainers in the world use them in their fitness programs as the primary tool. So instead of paying for expensive gym memberships or workout machines try a small investment into a resistance band exercise to get yourself in shape.
