You can never hide anything from your kids these days—even when it comes to electronics. Surely, they would be begging for PSP, Nintendo, MP3 players, digital cameras, and laptops. They would basically be like adults. However, you can never really give them what adults have.

For one, they may not be able to handle the privilege that comes with owning one. Second, electronic gadgets for adults are more expensive, and you can’t afford to lose them in the hands of your kids. Most of all, your electronic gadgets must never robbed the wonder and excitement a child has.

So what can you possibly give him? Here are some of the best choices:
Disney Pix

This could be one of the cheapest digital cameras in the market. It will cost you only $19.95. Moreover, it definitely fits the kids. First, it’s very simple to use. It also allows them to take snapshots of their friends, family, themselves, and anything and anyone that they can lay their eyes on. You will be able to instill creativity, ingenuity, and careful observation in their personalities. They would also learn to love these cameras. They contain images of their favorite Disney characters, including the Little Mermaid. The camera also comes with a photo editing program, which permits them to further personalize their pictures. Just make sure that you’re around when they do so, so you can guide them. You may also have to teach them on how to read the manual.

Creative Zen V Plus

Does your child love to listen to music? Or perhaps your kids is getting a little desperate on how to amuse himself when you’re not at home or when he’s too sleepy to finish his studies. Add more zest into his life by giving him Creative Zen V Plus.

It comes from Apple, so you really don’t have to worry about its security and, of course, quality. Furthermore, there are a lot of things that your kids can do with it. They can store all their favorite songs in digital files into them. These MP3 players have huge storage space. The controls are also simple. You have the typical buttons, such as pause, play, and return. You also have the scroll wheel, which permits you to select the songs that you want to listen to at the moment.

The MP3 player can also be used to store all your favorite images. Would that be a good way to keep your child’s mementos? And with an incredible OLED display, you would definitely take advantage of this special feature. Moreover, if your kid is dreaming of becoming a singer one day, he or she can definitely start recording and listening to his or her voice, or even to his or her own composition. Most of all, for such a useful audio device, you can have it at $130 only.

If there’s one thing that you need to be mindful of this product, however, it would be the buttons, which can be too small for those children with bigger fingers.

Firefly Mobile

With working parents and kids in school or out there in friends’ houses most of the times, family members need to keep in touch at all times. The only problem is that you cannot afford to give them costly mobile phones. They may only abuse the post-paid plans, calling friends and even strangers incessantly. They also don’t need a lot, such as Internet connection, video camera, and digital camera.

What you need then is Firefly Mobile. One of the greatest advantages of this one over other mobile phone is that it provides parental controls. The Firefly phone has 5 buttons only, which can be designed to call nothing but one number. You can program the phone to dial your or your spouse’s number.

Xybernaut Xyberkids MA V

Being a kid doesn’t reallyb mean that he doesn’t need an Internet connection or a more advanced way of keeping himself up-to-date with the latest news and even with his lessons. You may want to give him this backpack computer. As its name implies, it can be carried by your kid anywhere he or she goes. It already comes with a flat-panel display, Intel Celeron CPU that is 500 mhz, and Windows 98E, to name a few. It also contains Firewire and USb ports. Since it’s made of polyster and nylon, it’s more comfortable to carry.
