2. Copy your design into a grid – Once you have your base design. It is time to multiply them. The best way to do this is to create a separate document which has the dimensions 8.5 by 11 inches. Just go to your stationary shop and find letter sized card stocks that can be applied as a hang tag. Choose paper stock that is a bit thick and glossy. Try to avoid the textured card stocks though, since this might not prove too good for your home printer.

4. Printing your hang tags – Once you get a nice card stock to use, then the next step is printing. Just place your stock into your full color printer and print away your hang tags. Be sure to put in the correct settings, and watch if your designs get cut or smudged. Adjust your dimensions and printing layout if necessary.

5. Cut them out into shape – Afterwards, you just need to cut them into shape. The best way to cut them would be a cutting board of sorts, the ones that are usually used for cutting pictures and cardboards. If you don’t have those, then a simple scissor would do. Be careful though and try to stay within the lines.

6. Add accessories – Great! The hang tags are virtually done! As a finale, all you need to do is to add ribbons, strings and other accessories to make your hang tag extra appealing. Try to match these accessories with your overall hang tag layout.
