One must also be made aware that there is nothing wrong in borrowing or showing a sample to a designer because it does not mean that the author and the designer will actually copy the sample. As a matter of fact, it is believed that it is better for authors to use sample or a basis rather than have a hard time explaining your thoughts and ideas to the designer but will still not get it in the end. This process is a tiring one, and it is just a waste of both effort and time.

Cover design for authors is also very important even though it is not that apparent. As a matter of fact, it is too important for the success of their book that they cannot just place the responsibility of creating it to the designers alone. Of course, the authors must guide the designers every step of the way to achieve the exact and accurate concept of the writer. It is also seen that throughout the designing process, it is both the writer and designer who are communicating constantly so it is also important that these two persons get along well. Otherwise, the success of the design and of the book as well will be sacrificed because of the possible conflicts that may arise.
