Quick and Easy Weight Loss

That’s why it is perfect to start your weight loss program with the Cabbage Soup Diet plan. It only lasts for a week and knocks off the weight fast. It’s ideal to keep you motivated in continuing your quest for a slimmer body.

Here’s a rundown of the 7-day dietary plan:

Day 1 – you should eat fruit only (except for bananas) and drink water, cranberry juice, or unsweetened tea.

Day 2 – eat vegetables but avoid corn, peas, and dry beans. For dinner, you can look forward to baked potato with butter.

Day 3 – you can eat all the fruits and vegetables you want, as well as unlimited soup.

Day 4 – eat only 8 bananas and drink skimmed milk. Continue to eat the cabbage soup.

Day 5 – you can eat 6 fresh tomatoes as well as beef (only 10-20 ounces).

Day 6 – you can eat unlimited vegetables and beef.

Day 7 – you may consume brown rice with the vegetables.

There’s no better way to achieve quick weight loss than going through this diet plan. When you’re done with it, you can now move on to another plan with a slower pace. But whenever you want to rapidly lose weight again, you can just quickly go back to it.

Making it Work

Cabbage Soup Diet prevents people to be tempted in overeating unhealthy foods. The soup will act as filler and make sure that you will not get a feeling of starvation.

However, due to the low-calorie content, you may experience some side effects such as lightheadedness or a feeling of weakness. But generally, people won’t feel bad about it and would usually make it work because they know that it will only be for a week.

Helenbeth Reiss Reynolds, a spokesperson for American Dietetic Association and a registered nurse from Plymouth Minnesota, said that she feels comfortable with the cabbage soup itself. To improve it, there must be exercise, which is absolutely essential to have an effective weight-loss plan, she further said.

Lifetime Weight Watching

If you ask Alice Lichtenstein, an associate nutrition professor in Boston’s Tufts University and member of the nutrition committee of the American Heart Association, Cabbage Soup Diet truly promote a short-term weight loss because it restricts your caloric intake. However, she said that it does not provide the adequate nutrient intake over time.

To have an ideal weight throughout your lifetime, you should make small changes to your life that leads to better health. For example, simple steps such as switching from cream cheese to a jelly, or from whole milk to only 1% milk. You should also walk more often or take the stairs instead, Lichtenstein added further.

Yes it’s true that this diet plan is not meant for long-term use, and it should only be taken seriously for a week. However, if you are in a hurry to lose weight and you want a fast-paced weight loss program, the Cabbage Soup Diet is simply unrivaled.
