There are never enough hours in the day. We often say that, but it often seems true. Even after streamlining our schedule, it often seems that we cannot finish everything on time, which we need to finish. If you want to create your own artwork to the rooms of your home, you can use some basic methods that are not only easy, but also inexpensive. Here are some easy steps to add art to your house or apartment:

1. Get the right supplies to create your own painting
You can find the supplies in either large super stores or craft stores. You need to secure a couple of painting canvases and acrylic paints. Which colors will you need? The choice is yours. It is best to get a wide variety of colors, so you can avoid making another run to the store, in order to buy more paint.

2. Paint freely when creating your own art
After gathering your supplies, begin your actual painting. It is okay if you are not a Picasso. I certainly am not. You could simply trace some basic shapes or pictures onto the canvas. Remember that you are creating the art for your own home. There is no right or wrong method or subject. What is important is that you feel comfortable hanging the artwork on the walls, as you would with certain metal wall artwork.

3. Make sure to follow particular guidelines when creating your artwork
Remember that when you create your own artwork, there is not right or wrong approach, per se. However, you should certainly follow some guidelines:

- Add bright colors atop black paint, in order to increase the contrast and intensity.

- Never feel inhibited by your age. People of any age can create their own artwork. Remember the joy you had doing finger-painting as a child? Try to get that feeling back. Speaking of finger-painting, it is highly recommended that children create their artwork using finger paints, rather than acrylic paints or spray paints.

- Consider using spray paint as an alternative. Do not worry this is one time that spray-painting art will not result in a fine. If you use spray paint, make sure to wear a mask in order to safeguard yourself from the fumes.

4. Use wall art if you do not feel artistic
An alternative to creating your own art is to use wall art (such as metal wall artwork) in your home. Metal wall art is available in a wide variety of materials, sizes, and designs. Based on the wall art that you select, you can mix and match it with other decor in the room. In fact, you can also use wall art to help create a particular theme for the entire room, such as garden, sports, Roman, etc. Do some experiments before hanging, to determine the best arrangement for the metal wall art.
