It is easy these days to print stickers with your own personal design or mark. Using the technologies that are common in houses and offices today, sticker printing can relatively be an easy, and even an enjoyable task to do at home or at the office. You just need to follow the four simple steps for home or office sticker printing:

1. Using a simple but creative design – Since personal sticker printing means printing name labels or marks, you really don’t need a complicated design. A simple and creative one is the best, as long as it is uniquely your style and your sticker. You just need to decide on a distinctive logo, and name and you should be set.

For logos, you can either download a clipart over the Internet or look for a free graphic. You can then adapt it as your own symbol. Of course if you have some ability with digital graphics, you might also want to design your own logo yourself. You can even design your own custom sticker layouts and graphics if your sticker printing is for more than personal use. Just remember that stickers are quite small considering most other printed mediums so you don’t have to go overly complicated with their design.

For names and text though, it is best to use interesting and eye catching fonts. Since fonts are a simply thing unto themselves, using different font styles can really improve a sticker design. You can freely download interesting and creative fonts using several sites in the Internet. So you really won’t run out of resources.

2. Buying sticker office supplies – Once you have a design up and ready, you now need to buy some sticker paper. Sticker paper is not very hard to find. Most office supply shops or even stationery shops carry this kind of paper stock. Since you are printing at home or in the office, you should buy sticker stock that can fit into your printer. Your best bet with this is a standard letter-sized sticker paper with the dimensions 8.5 by 11 inches. Make sure that the sticker paper is in the color you like, and you have enough paper to print several times, including some extra ones if you make a mistake.

3. Setting your sticker dimensions for print – Now, you are ready to print your designs. The best way to do this is to use a word processing application which you are familiar with. Nothing fancy really. Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org Writer can be enough for this. Using their insert picture simply insert your sticker design unto the page. If you set your sticker dimensions right it should appear in the right scale on the page. This should let you determine how many stickers you can print per page. Simply insert more copies of your sticker design until you can relatively fill the whole page. Make sure that in the page options you set your margins all around the page to 0.5 inches to maximize the printing space. Also check if you have set the page size to letter size or 8.5 x 11in. In some cases, depending on your design, you may also want to change the pages orientation to landscape instead of portrait to get more sticker designs into the page.

4. Printing at home/office – Once you have a nice layout for sticker printing, all that you need to do then is to load up the sticker paper and start printing your custom stickers up. Make sure that you put the printing side of the sticker paper on to the right side of the printer feed. Just wait for a few moments and you should already get your custom stickers. Repeat when necessary and then you just need to cut them up to get each individual sticker ready. Afterwards, you should be done!

As you can see, it is relatively easy and there are no complicated applications or setups involved. All the skills need are just the simple office and clerical computer knowledge that most people should already have learned today. Congratulations! You have learned how to print your own personal stickers.
