The main cause of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is excessive strain on your muscles. One can get relief from this syndrome by adopting a more suitable posture. This article discusses about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and advises some postures which can help you get a relief from the pain.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when the muscles become strained and stretched or tight and cramped. It is when you put your muscle in an uncomfortable position for a long time which eventually results in your discomfort.

The reasons for muscle strain and stretch include sitting on a chair or in front of a computer for a long time. If you are sitting and working in a way which abuses some of your muscles by overusing some muscles and under using others, then it will certainly cause muscle strain.

This is the reason why muscles might go out of balance. Your muscles might become crabby. This will cause ache and you might feel crabby yourself. These crabby muscles might cause symptoms which include pain, burning, tingling and numbness.

The only way through which you can avoid such pain is take off the pressure from your muscles. The muscles in our body are designed to be happy and healthy if they are in a balance. But if this balance is disturbed then they would definitely cause pain.

If you are suffering from such pain then you should change your computer and desk set. You should also do some work on improving your posture. This will cause drastic improvements in your carpal tunnel syndrome.

When you are using the computer on a desk, you should face the monitor squarely. One should look directly ahead on the monitor. If the monitor is not in position, then one should be creative enough to figure out the best position for oneself in which one is comfortable in using the PC.

The monitor should be parallel to your face and you should be able to look at the screen without tilting your chin.

When the head is tilted forward and backward or when the chin is stuck out, it will cause muscle stretch and strain around your shoulders and neck region.

If you are using bifocals then there are small half glasses available which simply sit on your glasses and will correct your bifocal for computer vision miraculously. These glasses are known as “PCkeepers” and one can get them from the eye doctor.

One should keep one's feet flat on the ground or in a lifted position, if one requires to. Sometimes when the seat is adjusted to the height of the monitor, the seat might be too far from the floor. The feet should not remain dangling in the air nor should they be twisted under the chair.

You can do many things to work in the best position for yourself. It is not difficult to set up a situation which is comfortable for you and your muscles.

The key to getting relief from the carpal tunnel syndrome is to correct your posture. A good posture will help you work in a stress-free position.
