A lot of novice bodybuilders struggle with the issue of how to build muscles fast. Have you ever asked yourself what it takes to be able to achieve fast muscle hypertrophy? If you are seriously considering taking up bodybuilding as a sport, then the first step towards succeeding in this sport should start with doing a little bit of research as to what makes a person achieve muscle hypertrophy.

Many novice bodybuilders have ended up using steroids simply because they did not take time to understand how muscle hypertrophy takes place. Steroids can make a person build muscles fast but this will come at a huge price in terms of compromising a person’s health. Steroids have been known to lead to hormonal imbalance among users.

The following are some of the side effects linked to bodybuilders who use steroids; shrinking of testicles in men, low sperm count, decrease in libido, baldness, kidney problems, liver conditions, heart ailments, insomnia, increase in aggression, and depression. If you want to build muscles fast, you need to neglect the use of steroids because they can compromise your health tremendously.

How to achieve muscle hypertrophy without the Use of Steroids

If you want to succeed in bodybuilding by building muscles fast it is not a must that you use steroids. All you need to succeed in this wonderful sport is to understand the basics involved in order to achieve muscle hypertrophy.

When I first started out participating in the wonderful sport of bodybuilding, it took me quite some time before I was able to transform my body physique. The reason was because I was not well versed with the fundamentals necessary to achieve muscle growth.

If you are a novice bodybuilder you need to first understand the fundamentals necessary to build muscles fast otherwise you will end up spending a lot of time in the gym. If you want to build muscles fast you have to follow three fundamental concepts which are;

Eat plenty of proteins in your diet

Proteins are the building blocks of muscles without which you cannot be able to achieve muscle hypertrophy. If you want to build muscles fast you have to increase your intake of proteins because they are essential when it comes to helping the muscles repair after intense training. There are various foods which are rich in proteins such as eggs, beef, legumes, dairy products. Recent studies have shown that whey proteins are very effective when it comes to enhancing muscle growth. You should also increase your intake of carbohydrates. This is because carbohydrates contain plenty of calories which act as a fuel for the body. For you to be able to undertake intense training your calorie intake must be high.

You need to train intensely using weights

For muscles hypertrophy to take place you need to train intensely using heavy weights with few reps using techniques such as compound movements and progressive resistance training.

Rest

Rest is very important if you want to build muscles fast. If you do not rest after training you will be enhancing catabolic activities.
