Feeling lazy to exercise? Or do you feel you don’t need to exercise as you are not overweight? Well exercising is not only to lose weight. It regulates the flow of blood in your body, builds body muscles and keeps your body healthy.

Benefits of exercising:

Do you need motivation? Well here are some health benefits of exercising! Exercises have proved to reduce the risk of premature death. They improve the formation of your brain cells and also reduce stress and symptoms of depression. Regular exercising reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and stroke. It controls your weight, increases your muscle and bone strength and also gives you good sleep.

Start slowly:

Are you convinced? Now get ready to start exercising. First of all don’t start on a rigorous regimen. Start slowly. Just take a 10 minutes walk early in the morning or after dinner at night. After a couple of days slowly increase your speed to 30 minutes and then 50 minutes a day. The faster you walk, your muscles are put to more exertion, and this in turn burns the unwanted calories and fats in your body.

Some people start with rigorous exercise and develop body pain. This makes them give up exercising. That is why you are advised to start slow. Your bones and muscles need time to adjust to your routine. There is no gain without a little pain. The most important thing is that you should follow regular exercise schedule. Exercise consistently, occasional exercise will not show you the results you want.

Aerobic exercises:

Aerobic or cardio exercises like walking, jogging, swimming, cycling etc. are considered to be the key to fitness. During aerobic exercises the oxygen you breathe in, replaces the oxygen you use and thereby supplies fresh blood to your body, increasing the functions of your heart and lungs. If you are feeling bored to walk alone ask a friend to join you. You should also do resistance training exercises to increase your muscle mass. But you should be careful not to over do it. In fact strengthening exercises increases the strength of bones and reduces the fat from a person’s body, even in their eighties and nineties. If you can’t walk, do any thing that makes your body move. Exercising can be any physical activity that helps you burn a few calories and makes you stay healthy, like playing football, hiking, attending dance class, gardening etc.

Stretching:

Make sure you do stretching like circling your head, swinging your arms, leg raising, running on the spot etc. before and after an exercise. These stretches warm up and loosen up and increase the flexibility of your muscles. Stretching also protects your bones and muscles and prevents any injury during exercising.

Exercises also reduce tension, stress, mental pressure, anxiety from your body and keep you fit and healthy. Starting your day with a lot of problems and worries will only ruin your day. Exercising helps you clear your mind and start your day with clean thoughts.
