With your new Adriondeck chair finally sitting in the splendor it deserves on your patio, you feel like your set is complete. But even with their natural comfort and excellent posture and positioning, you feel like they need something more – they must have something more to make them more appealing, more welcoming to your guests during the long summer months. If the natural beauty won’t bring them around, maybe it is time to consider putting cushions down on your favorite chairs.

While you may think this is some form of blasphemy, putting down a cushion on an Adriondeck chair is certainly not a bad idea. Because of the reclined nature and construction of this crucial piece of patio furniture, it is naturally welcoming and comfortable. But adding a cushion to it will make it all the more alluring, making your friends and family want to sit in it and while away the long summer days. Plus, adding a cushion will keep your furnishings just the right temperature throughout the hot summer or the cool fall – not too hot, and not too cool.

So now you’re probably wondering: my Adriondeck chair is an odd shape and size – how do I go about looking for cushions to add to it? Even though your chair may be of a non-standard size, you can still get the perfect cushion to fit it snugly. The first place to start is to take some measurements of your chair. By doing this, you will know exactly the size of the cushions you need to purchase, taking a lot of the guesswork out of the entire operation. Take a cross-measurement (diagonal) of the chair, as well as a measurement around the edges. You will want to do this for the seat and back of the chair, in case you decide to put a cushion on both sides.

Now that you have the measurements in hand for your Adriondeck chair, it is time to do a little shopping. Always try the place you bought your chair from first before going elsewhere. I recommend this because they know all about your chair, and they will probably have the perfect cushion to fit your chair. And if they don’t have it, they can probably recommend the place to purchase the perfect cushions from. If the searching and shopping is to no avail, try going online. There are many outlets that can custom build a cushion that will fit your chair like a glove to a hand. Remember: always know who you are doing business with online, as not every company is credible out there. Make sure they are accredited with security sites, and that their work is guaranteed.

Once you have your cushion size for your Adriondeck chair decided on, and you’ve found the place to purchase them from, it is now time to make the biggest decision of them all: nylon or canvas? Both serve as great choices for your patio furniture, but each have their downfalls as well. Nylon tends to be the softer and silkier of the two materials, but doesn’t have the same durability. This means you will be spending a lot of time making sure your nylon cushions are cared for. Canvas, however, is much more durable and can be left to fend for itself in the elements. While it may not be as silky, it will serve you for many years to come, making it a better long-term investment.

Purchasing cushions for your Adriondeck chair can be a hassle and unwanted chore if you are unsure of what you are doing. But by knowing how to measure out and find the right cushion for you and your family, you will be adding a new level of comfort that will bring pleasure and comfort to your family for years to come.
