Are you a woman over 40? Many women over 40 have a lot of questions regarding losing belly fat.

I answer the most frequently asked questions about how to lose belly fat easily in this short article- especially for women over 40.

What are the most essential foods to keep off?

Trans fats and saturated fat consumption would make it impossible for you to lose belly fat. Attempt to avoid them as much as practicable. Saturated fats are contained in milk, chocolate (sorry, ladies), fatty meats and some kinds of oil, for instance palm oil or coconut oil.

Simple, empty carbohydrates are not good for you too. White flour, white rice, white bread and pasta all contain empty carbohydrates. Sugar, including fruit sugar isn’t beneficial for you as well.

What is the best way to avoid cravings?

Keep your blood sugar level constant as much as possible. To achieve this, get every 2-3 hours a little meal. Just make sure, that the calories do not add up and you don't go over your daily limit. Get adequate fiber to make you feel full- mineral and vitamin-rich vegetables are good for that.

To lose belly fat, is cardiovascular exercise helpful?

Cardio helps a lot- it’s the type of training which will make you burning fat the best while you are training. Use altering intensity levels in your training. Challenge yourself to be completely out of breath, catch your breath in the next 2 to 3 minutes, and then challenge yourself again. Your fitness level will improve a lot, if you're able to incorporate this into your everyday routine. After your workouts you will still burn calories, what will assist you to lose your body fat.

Is strength training worthwhile? I do not want to get bulky.

It is very difficult for a woman to get bulky- you would have to train very hard to get bulky. Increasing muscle mass will help you burning fat when you are not physically active, for example while you’re sleeping. Muscles burn fat, fat tissue doesn’t burn fat. Replacing fat with lean muscles is a good idea.

Do exercises for the abs (sit-ups, crunches, etc.) help?

Yes and no. Some people think "if I have fat on my abs and I'm training my abs then I will lose fat on my abs". That’s a myth. But: You will burn more calories if you tone your abdominal muscles. The more muscles you have the more calories you will burn. In addition, it can be much simpler for you to maintain a flat belly if your abdominal muscles are well trained.

Is it really true that sleep is essential in losing belly fat?

Yes, you're right. The fewer sleep a person gets, the higher the likelihood of being obese. Broadly Speaking, you need to have enough time for yourself- stress steps-up your risks of being overweight and obese.

Is Pilates or Yoga helpful?

Pilates and Yoga help a great deal. They will tone up your middle while challenging your cardiovascular system. People might even see you as more powerful and energetic because your posture improves.
