Are you a woman over 40? Aren’t you as fit as you’ve used to be? Do you notice fat accumulating on your abdomen, and do you want to lose stomach fat? A descent in fitness and gaining belly weight is characteristic for women over 40- you are not unique with that. If you want to get into your old clothes again, but the scale does not go down: This can be a very demoralizing experience. You'll get 10 tips on how to lose stomach fat fast in this article- read on.

Write down what you are eating- be as objective as possible, especially when evaluating the portion size. A food diary helps greatly in reviewing your calorie intake- do the review regularly, for example every Sunday.

Stop eating 3 hours before bedtime. Give your body an opportunity to digest all food and begin the fat burning mechanism over nighttime. You’ll lose weight in your sleep- can it be any nicer?

Avoid additional sugar. This can come in the form of corn syrup as well. Sodas, luxury coffee drinks and milk shakes tend to hold a lot of additional sugar. Even fruit juices (claiming to be natural) are often “sugared up”.

At the workplace and at home, clean all drawers, closets etc. from snacks. Have a bag with veggies with you- this will give you a natural, whole snack if you need it. Carrots and broccoli tops are good for that. You can’t consume too much of those- the fiber will fill you up quickly.

Refined and packaged foods are better to be avoided. They might look handy, but if you want to control what gets into your food you have to prepare it yourself. You should never purchase food containing trans fats.

Skipping breakfast is commonly not a good idea. Breakfast skippers tend to think, they would shrink their total calorie intake. But commonly they eat more in the evenings, and frequently they consume more calories that way compared to eating breakfast.

Water or a low calorie soup are wonderful to consume before eating. They will fill you up. This makes portion control simpler. What you eat and how much you eat are the two components to control your eating. Having water or soup before eating helps with the "how much" component.

Numerous individuals (I belong to this group) have a tough time losing weight when they are having dairy products. Watch what changes if you do not have milk and dairy products for 2 weeks. Soy milk will assist with declining estrogen levels in women after 40, so it’s a great replacement for milk.

You can't drink too much herbal tea and water. You need to flush toxins out of your system- and the best way to do that is by drinking plenty.

Have 5-6 small meals every day. Watch your daily calorie consumption though- that's why it is beneficial to have a food diary.
