You have finally decided to take the plunge and ask her to marry you. You should keep in mind that this will be one of the most important moments in your life. You will want it to be memorable. First you need to decide on and purchase the engagement ring. You will have to do your homework and learn about diamonds so you can select the one that is perfect for her.

Now it is time to set the stage for one of the most romantic moments of your life. You don’t have to spend a lot of money. It is the thought and effort that you put into making it a special occasion that counts. Try not to make it to complex or on a tight schedule. You want to be able to relax and enjoy yourself. Try not to get to distracted trying to keep everything going smoothly.

There are different ways that you can set up your proposal. It depends on whether you want to make it in public or in private. You may want to shout it from the rooftops; but perhaps your girlfriend may be shy and would prefer it to be a private matter. You can take the fortune out of a fortune cookie and swap it with a piece of paper that says,” Will you marry me?” Then when you are at your favorite Chinese restaurant have the waiter bring out the fortune cookie after the meal.

You can freeze the ring in an ice cube. Then you can prepare a romantic candlelit dinner or have one catered if you’re not much of a cook. Slip it into her glass when she’s not looking, then when she notices get down on one knee and propose.

You can write a marriage proposal in the sand for her while you are at the beach. Call her over and let her see what you have written. You can then drop down on one knee and present the ring to her.

You can put the diamond ring in the box and put it in the bottom of a box of Cracker Jacks. Give her the special box when you are watching a game or TV together and wait until she finds it. You can then ask her if she would like to spend the rest of her life with you.

For a really special proposal you could rent a limousine for the evening. Have the driver pick you up first and then pick her up at home. Take her to in an elegant restaurant where you have already arranged to have your dinner served in the limo in the parking lot. Be sure to tell the server to make it a picnic and also tell them not to disturb you after the main course is served. Instead of dessert you can present your ring to her.
