Commercial ice bins are nothing but large containers that store ice. They are used for serving ice and supplying ice. Where there is no room for a large ice machine, commercial ice bins are a great utility.

In commercial settings such as restaurants, bars etc ice bins are required for many purposes. Ice is essentially used in drinks, to set things in the kitchen, for storing food, to cool beer, wine etc. Therefore the use of commercial ice bins in a commercial kitchen such as a restaurant, bar restaurants and bars etc becomes very important.

However, a small ice bin can come into domestic use as well. Since they are mobile and handy they can be carried anywhere easily. They are very useful when carried to picnics, outdoors, camps and such other places. The preparation of ice and its storage problems can be easily solved by such ice bins. They are also a great fit in a modular kitchen. However, their use commercially is more significant compared to their domestic use.

When choosing ice bins their size is of paramount importance. Commercial ice bins are available in various sizes to meet the needs of every volume. The size is of paramount importance in relation to ice bins because it should be one that meets the business needs. If you happen to choose a very large ice bin, and have a smaller volume of business then the ice will melt away at the bottom of the bin. On the other hand, if you have a large volume business and if you happen to choose a very small ice bin then you will have ice generated in small quantities and thus your supply of ice will get affected. The size of the bin therefore should be proportional to the need of ice and the volume of the business that you may run. However, you can have a big bin where in spite of the ice melting during their non use they prove useful during peak periods.

Various types of commercial ice bins are available. They are found in plastic. They are also available in stainless steel. They are heavy duty and the choice can be purely based on the need or the necessity of the supply of ice.

The portability of the ice bins makes them eminent in restaurants and bars. Their function as portable cooler for bottled beverages is extremely important in restaurants and bars.

Nowadays, the commercial ice bins that are available can be emptied very easily. Further, the cleaning of these ice bins too is comparatively simpler to their predecessors. The ice bins available commercially today have drains that have shut off valve which makes draining very convenient.

Thus, the utility of an ice bin in a commercial setting cannot be denied. They are a must have in restaurants and bars. However, choosing the right size that matches your business needs is extremely essential. The modern ice bins available commercially in the market today are one which is convenient to use and clean and one that matches every business need.
